After some consideration on the autos twisted new growth (just the center very top soon to be cola), I have ruled out any possible deficiency. I'm pretty sure it is the placement that she's in. Right in front of the intake fan and the circulation fan. So I'm moving her and the red led booster to the opposite side of the cab. 1447243925383.jpg1447244259907.jpg

Good morning to too sir. I'm about to head out in 20. I've got 50 square to single today. I'm a roofer in my off season from pesticides. I should be back after 5.

No worries dude, I immediately noticed the change in your demeanor and figure the same.

I've been pretty busy latley and don't have the energy at night to be fucking around with any plant. This morning I wanted to check on everyone. Seedlings look great. Tomatoes are a tad droopy (only on the top newest branches). Auto was looking ok compared to yesterday before I moved her and the booster.
I wanted to check on the soils ppm and the pot was alot lighter than the other day. I dumped in 3L of 0ppm h20. My runoff read 340ppm @ 6.9pH. That's a huge drop from the other days flush that read 780ppm.

However the twisted growth still remains.
Learning curve I suppose. I'm taking the day off and I'm going to review my records and play in some dirt. I can't neglect my grow for too long in between.

I know this thread is all about organics, but I'm actually debating feeding the auto some AN conni, big bud, bud ignitor, factor x, nirvana and sensizyme.
@2ml/L this will put me roughly at the 1000ppm mark. I've already mixed it up and it's bubbling right now. Personally, I think she can handle it after seeing how quick she destroyed the previous 780ppm. And she is for sure starting to flower now! Yay!!!!

I'm planning on playing with my bokashi super soil. It's crossed my mind that manure have a tendency to make the compost alkaline. Now the bokashi is very acidic so hopefully it balanced out, but I'll need to do a extraction today and find out the ph along with NPK testing. This mix has to be high enough in Nitrates to support the transplant and the transition through bloom. I'm planning on only giving water and molasses and mabey a little top dressing if needed but I doubt it because the bokashi is heavy on P&K and with everything I put in it and the manures, I really shouldn't need anything else.
Depending on the texture and rate of the bokashi decomposition, I may screen and sift the mix today too.
Also have to go and pick up some coco bean shells for mulching the pots. If I can find it because it's late in the season, I'll just use some garden fabric and grow stones.

Ah grrrr morning RUI. I woke up extra early today because my old ass passed out at 730 last night. I went down to check 10 min before lights on, and I saw the fucking red led booster was already on. It turns out that the booster has never turned off, because the digital timer wasn't set to auto/on.
Today, the twisting is even more prevalent. I'm not too pissy about it because it's an auto but had this been a photo, I'd be fucking livid.
So here's a lesson to be learned from,... always double check your equipment...Assumption is the mother of all fuck ups.

hate to laugh but i think we've all been guilty of something like this before! No wonder she was so upset with you!

with all this talk about compost... i need to make a tea for my compost and slam some more microbe action in my pile. I saw your post about the EM-1 as well. just one tool i haven't got yet that i need to pick up. i'd like to start making my own instead of buying it.

1447434261310.jpg I got you covered. Mine is already isolated and very prolific. I've been running the same isolate culture for 3 years now. I can load up sever vacutainer vials for you. 1 vial per gallon of whole milk. That 1 gallon will yield you 3.5 L of serum.

I like your constant use of em-1 to help break down organic matter. That is totally the way to go! Question, do you make a new batch everytime? I am almost out on my batch and I want to make another but I'd like to not go through the rice method. How do you do it?

Thanks man!

I keep my EM serum in the refrigerator at 40F. I don't add molasse for cold storage. Only when I use it and have a need to activate them.
As far as maintaining a constant supply of serum, i always re inoculate with the old serum. I'm using the same serum from 3 years ago and I just dump about 1-2 tbsp into milk and ... bam, 4 days later, more serum.

Sweet doing this from now on with old milk!

Just make sure to use whole milk. There's more lactose and that equates to a higher bacterial gram count. Fresh unpasteurized right from the source is the very best but it's hard to get for most.
yeah i dont know where i can buy fresh unpasteurized around me that's for sure. bullshit! illegal in some states i think??

basically the EM-1 they sell is just a small bit of the serum, put into molasses water, yeah?

It is definitely illegal to sell. You almost have to know a farmer or have a goat or cow of your own.

Yes, the commercial EM1 is mostly water with molasses to feed and force dormant. It's a good product but your getting ripped. Making it is free and more concentrated, plus you get benificial indigenous microbes that are prudent to your geographical area.
