Well, you guys can argue about it if you want. But you're not only arguing with me, but with Rob Clarke.

That's Doctor Rob Clarke, and he wrote Marijuana Botany. Come back after you've read it.

No argument from me, your info is, as always, spot on.

This goes right along with your flowering time question. The time for a plant to ripen is genetically-encoded, and so every strain will ripen usually in 9, 10, or more weeks of flowering. So it is also the amount of time for a plant to show its sex when starting flowering. Generally, Indicas start showing sex in the 3rd week of flowering, and Sativas start showing in the 4th or even 5th week.

So you will start seeing pistils (white hairs - female) or little bunches of grape-like things - male) at the nodes of the plant.

I can usually identify sex on regular beans within 4-5 weeks of veg with a handheld magnifier. They're gonna pop a translucent hair eventually and don't even need to be in flowering.

They are also supposed to be feminised but i have read that its not always 100%..
If you're dealing with already demonized beans, no worries man. ;-)

Those "white hairs" are the sure sign of a female flower. They are the thing that catches the pollen that is flying by, and then that calyx will be pollinated, and produce a seed.

Growers generally don't want that to happen, because we want to harvest seedless bud. The term sensimilla means without seeds.

Congrats on your female triplets!

They are 3 different strains germinated same time... Critical Kush, Incredible Bulk and THC the Bomb....

All suppose to be great yielding strains so as they are all in the same grow room with same enviro i can see best which will
prevail.....

Place ur bets now....:hump:

Still many states in bible belt that give ya 20 years in the can for a ten pack.
True story. I learned how to grow in an Arkansas attic. Through the summer. I moved back to Colorado when I heard just how nasty the laws were. This was thirty years ago, when Mr Clinton was still governor. I had the chance to be in his presidential election campaign. To this day, I still wonder what if...

Its like Drop Dead Thread in here!! lol...(:

Has anyone else on here grown critical kush before?

Just wondered because I was told its quite a short plant but the 1 i'm growing is over 3 1/2 feet tall already and its only over a week or so in 12/12..

Wont be able to cope with a six footer in my tent when the other plants are 1/2 the height.
