are you sure?

Nice use of selective context. I bet if you went back and looked at that ongoing conversation you quoted from, I was very clear that I wouldn't operate my business in ways like that, and that my answer reflected how other people that do operate their business that way might provide notice to somebody. You forgot to list THOSE quotes.

I will repeat again, now. I think racism is stupid, but I also think it's not up to me to control other peoples property or force people to associate with me or anyone else.

Now, how about addressing YOUR racism and words pertaining to how black people today should be thanked simply because other people of the same race suffered decades ago ? YOU clearly based your "ought to be thanked" reasoning solely on the basis of their similar race.

Hypocrite.

then why do you refer to the president using racial slurs and yearn endlessly to return to a time when denying people service based on race was actually legal?
I don't have a President or recognize anybody as my forcibly imposed "leader". You are the one with the hero worship complex, not me.

You continually referred to a person of mixed ancestry, Mr. Obama, as "black", I refuted it and said he was "mulatto", which was a statement of his mixed race, not a slur about his mixed race. I don't like Obama, but it has nothing to do with his mixed race.

I want to ascend to a time when people are free to interact on a basis where the involved participants mutually agree to it. You do not.

i call him black because he self-identifies as black.

you call him by that derogatory racial slur because you are a racist loser.

nice euphemism for the fact that you want to return to a time when blacks were denied service based on their race, which caused them much harm. and you are too much of a pussy to admit that blacks were harmed when they were denied service by racial segregationists like you.

you are a coward and a racist. and a pedo.

Barack Obama is your 44th President. You pay property taxes, as well as other taxes. You have to drive with your seat belt on and stop at stop signs. We are not going back to the 50's and there are laws to protect children from pedophiles.
The sooner you start understanding these things, The sooner they will let you out of that " special hospital"

So, back to the original post -- if you can call anything @Uncle Ben says thoughtful or original; Aren't the dates on the reports pretty old -- 2006 and such? From what I've seen, Sanders hasn't done anything wrong or even different from what other families in this profession do on either side of the aisle. In fact, it looks like the numbers are pretty boring for several year's worth of work. If Sanders and family are doing anything illegal or borderline illegal then they should pay the price. Perhaps its the tip of the iceberg but this looks like much ado about nothing.

Wait a second, the campaign paid Bernie Sander's wife $90,000 for consulting services from 2002-2004? So that's $45,000 a year? And she took only $30,000 which meant she was being paid $15,000/yr for consulting?

Terry Sullivan, a campaign consultant for Marco Rubio, gets paid a salary $198,000 according to Rubio's Federal Election Commission filing.
It's his wife. He essentially paid himself to campaign. Even if it isnt illegal it looks dirty as fuck.

You are right. We got Bernie Sanders stealing hundreds of thousands or millions and enriching his friends and family. On the other hand we got hillary clinton taking millions of dollars or tens of millions of dollars in foreign bribes and doling them out to her friends and family...

They are both crooks and you are fine with it...

Of course they are fine with it. And they'll vote for "it".

Since posting to the Politics forum I have noticed a pattern with all RIU liberals - they always side with the criminal, with the scumbags. It's their comfort zone. To them right is wrong and wrong is right.

Not true. As an example many that have a long mixed ethnic lineage in Lousiana starting with the Acadians and mixing with blacks and other races are proud of their heritage.

Now, some just have this chip on their shoulder like your buddy buckarooskie.....but that's his problem.

Who's morals though? Biblical? In which you're supposed to love your brother yet seem to have a hard time with this concept.

The left has already figured this out and doesn't need a book to guide them.

The right uses this book to guide themselves yet are the worst offender of its 'rules'..

I understand that some people in the USA take offense by the term. However that was not my intended use of the term. I used it in a conversation with the racist Uncle Buck a year or two ago when he kept insisting Obama was "black". I mentioned that he had parents of different races. I used the anthropological term "mulatto" and intended no disparagement. In fact when I asked Uncle Racist Buck which side of Obama's ancestry I had offended he was silent. Again, If I have offended anyone, that was not my intention.

It's also odd, because Buck never addresses his adoption of the "one drop rule" which HAS racist intentions.
(If you don't know what the "one drop rule" is look it up, it fits Uncle Bucks narrative)

In many parts of the world, the term, is still used as a descriptive, not as a perjorative.
