Clones dont need a ton of humidity. No dome is needed either. Maybe if you were sprouting seedlings all that may be necessary?
70-80% humidity is what I have always heard for clones. Since they dont have roots they need high RH to keep the plant from drying out.
You dont need to worry about humidity in a bubble or aero cloner, but you do if you want to use a solid medium to clone in:.
ASSUMING SUCESS RATES ARE RELATIVELY EQUAL (Which I don't), HERE ARE SOME +/- ON THE 2 MAIN KINDS
Bubble/Aero:
+Startup, but no variable equipment cost
+Roots develop faster
+Humidity is not so much an issue
-Roots are harder to transplant into netpot (risk of breaking more)
-likely to lose the entire batch at once
-Takes time to build
-takes more resources (Pump, power, stones)
-Likely going to cut more of the plant to fill the cloner (& have clones you dont need)
Variables: Water temp and water level
Rockwool, Rapid Rooters, etc:
+1 or 2 out of 10 might not root, but you wont lose them all unless you really fuckup
+RW cubes are much easier to safely transplant into hydro or soil
+Better environment for Beneficial bacteria
-need to worry about humidity & Weaning
-slower to root (Or at least have roots accessible)
-have to shell out 16 cents a RW plug or so, but little-no startup cost. $3 cloning petri dishes at hydro store are amazing
Variables: RH
