First Seedling!

Hi guys! First grow here and I finally got a seedling to sprout. I'm growing hydroponically with coco coir and perlite. It's a feminized Northern Lights strain. I would love any input on its health. It seems pretty healthy to me so far. I haven't watered it in a few days and the coco is still very moist toward the bottom but has started drying slightly on the cup. I think this might be because of bad circulation (it's in my closet) so I added a small fan. When should I water this again and should I use nutrients at half strength? (haven't used any thus far just distilled water.) Any knowledgeable input is appreciated. I'm really enjoying this I just don't wanna mess it up haha.

Why thank you very much for starting something you know nothing about and come on it here for all your learning needs!
I'm sure all sorts of folks (mostly those craving attention and post/like points will flock to this and give you all means of advice that will have a 50/50 change of good or bad results).

Now I don't mean to be a killjoy here. You'll get answers in a minute BUT,,,How about you go out and read about keeping tropical house plants! Get an African Violet and get it to bloom! Do that and growing MM will be a breeze!

Now you can get a cpl of books on growing MM.
I like these these to start.

http://www.amazon.com/Marijuana-Growers-Handbook-Complete-Cultivation/dp/0932551467

http://www.amazon.com/dp/187882323X/?tag=googhydr-20&hvadid=47024125608&hvpos=1t1&hvexid=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=17906940758024575300&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=b&hvdev=c&ref=pd_sl_1u5isztt14_b

Now keep in mind these guys are subject to making not so true comments on growing also.....Your mind must remain OPEN!
this is where coming in here for advise is a sound idea - it's up to you to figure out who's right and who's a little off.

We'll be better helpers to growers who know something about what their doing.

Now then, to answer your questions.

What nutrients are you using?
Are they designed for Coco?
How about you go to the nutrient makers web site and read his feeding chart and start by following that - week by week!
NOW THEN, your first "tip". Do NOT change to "bloom" nutrients at the flip! Feed VEG food for the first 2 weeks after you change to bloom lighting! Now mix 50/50 veg?bloom for 1 week and THEN GO TO 100% BLOOM NUTRIENTS!

This will save you from one of the the MOST COMMON problems around here - overfeeding P&K too early. Save you from early yellowing of the leaves!

I'll give you more details after you answer my nutrient questions.
Did you know that coco requires you use a ca/mg product?
Later on, when the plant is established, you will have to do some "leeching" of salt build up in the coco periodically.

I'm pretty sure personal attacks are against the rules on this forum. No one is forcing you to respond to my thread. If you don't like me then don't post. If I don't make it to harvest oh well. I'll try again. I don't care about your opinion on me. Oh, and I probably will get that book. Your advice is welcome, your opinion on my knowledge and suitability to be growing is unwelcome and inappropriate.

Thanks. Only useful thing in your post. Don't want your opinions, just your tips. Also I'm using Fox Farm Grow Big veg nutes.
This is the reason I prefer to troll newbs instead of help.

They're all like cracks heads, they just want thier dope...

I'm not going to hold your hand and walk you through your grow.

I truly hope everyone sees this bullshit post and decides not to give you anymore advice at all.

I really just wanted opinions on the look of my seedlings and my setup. I spend hours reading online every day, almost obsessively. It's just turning what you read and applying it practically to your setup which I am anxious about. I just took your post as really passive-aggressive. I will definitely try out that book, but like I said I don't give a shit about anyone's opinion of me it's just annoying sifting through shitposts, but you're the only one that's actually posted anything useful so thanks.

Uh oh we've got a rule quoter!
Oh my, and an experienced shitposter! Get that post count up buddy!

If I would have known not to dose pk early it would have stopped a big issue with my grow. I still didn'tknow that was a problem until I read your post just now. Thanks.

I'll give you some advice even though I don't want to because you're not my favorite person right now. I still can't stand around and let you fuck up.

So here goes it. I just reread your rude post to Dr Who and noticed you said you have grow big. You shouldn't be needing any fertilizer just yet. Wait for at least a couple of weeks before you feed. When you do feed use 1/4 strength and bump it up as the plant gets bigger. As the doc said, grow big will get you to week 2 of flower, but after that you are going to need a bloom fertilizer. Did you buy the trio or do you just have grow big?

Hey now lets not get off to a bad start here.

Looks good to me I would not use a clear container though. Unless you are waiting to see roots for transplanting..

Sheeiiittt
Don't be jealous.. Were just trying to help and you get all touchy feely

Peace and love bro
It's all good homie. My feels are well intact.

Yes! That's why I'm using them. The container the cups are sitting on is a 5 gallon smart pot mix of coco and perlite. I'm going to put one plant in there and the rest I'll just see what they can do in the cups. I might put the other cups inside solid red cups since I hear light isn't good for roots.
