How's this for a start

WASHINGTON (AP) — House Speaker Paul Ryan said Thursday Republicans would strip federal dollars for Planned Parenthood as part of the GOP effort to repeal the health care law, prompting an outcry from the century-old organization and Democrats promising to fight the move.

Ryan spoke a day after a special House panel issued a report criticizing the organization, which provides birth control, abortions and various women's health services, for its practices regarding providing tissue from aborted fetuses to researchers. The Wisconsin lawmaker's comments, while expected, were the first official word that repeal legislation would also renew the congressional assault on the group.

"The Planned Parenthood legislation would be in our (repeal) bill," Ryan told reporters.

Good job you Republican assholes,, work on eliminating the one thing that provides NEEDED health care for women, no matter their income.

Fuck you

mike pence tried this in indiana already.

they were rewarded with the breakout of an HIV epidemic.

In 2013, Pence’s first year as governor of Indiana, Scott County’s one Planned Parenthood closed in the wake of public health spending cuts. Since that particular Planned Parenthood was also the county’s only HIV testing center, there was no longer a place for the county’s 24,000 residents to get tested.

Nearly 20 percent of Scott County residents live below the poverty line. Injection drug use there is a major problem, increasing the risk of HIV outbreak.

Fast-forward to 2015. Local health officials began to report HIV cases linked to intravenous prescription opioid use in Scott County. Scott County residents were sharing needles to inject their opioids, and nobody was getting tested.

The situation quickly spiraled out of control. At the height of the outbreak, 20 new cases of HIV were being diagnosed each week, reaching a total of nearly 200 cases by the time the outbreak was finally under control.

I am all in favor of stripping money out of planned parenthood but I am not in favor of bundling it with the repeal of healthcare.

Ryan is just muddying the waters...

I hope they both die.

Nah, only kidding,

I'm talking about my wifes cat and dog, not Trump and Pence, just in case that there's confusion, as to what I really meant

Really, that's the truth

Taking away a woman's right to choose has everything to do with women's rights. This is making it so someone who doesn't have the money to pay for a procedure is unable to get one; thus technically only taking away poor women's right to choose.
So poor women need a ride to and from the doctor and to get everything for free becasue you know... they poor...

A womans right to choose something does not automatically obligate the taxpayer to pay for it.

I guarantee you there are plenty of liberals lining up to kill black babies. Planned parenthood can get its cash from fundraising drives.

nope.. have you ever got a woman pregnant? even with the care its still about 500 bucks for an abortion. its not poor woman this or poor woman that. sometimes stuff happens in peoples lives where a baby just isnt the best option at the time. are you against plan b too?

Assuming Someone that cannot afford an abortion will possibly be on social assistance; so you're paying for that kid anyways. Would you rather your tax money go in for 18 years or 18 minutes?
I don't agree with reducing this matter to taxes; these are people in need and I'm in full support of social programs; but the $$ seem to ring true with you. So, which would you rather pay for. (Neither is a bullshit answer).

I assume defunding planned parenthood would still mean someone that can afford an abortion will be able to get one, they just have to have hundreds of dollars to pay for it. So maybe poor was the wrong word. Only rich people can afford them.

Every situation involving abortion is hard. Regardless of being reckless, on birth control that doesn't work, condom breaking, emotional or physical problems due to the pregnancy, etc; people that get abortions do not come to the decision lightly. It's not like there are thousands and thousands of women that think abortion is the best birth control; yeah let's get surgery 5 weeks after every time we have sex. It's an emergency-type procedure for emergency situations.
I do not think planned parenthood should be defunded; A slap in the face. If men carried babies to term you'd be able to get abortions in a vending machine.

And supplying birth control. Which will prevent future unwanted pregnancies and possible abortions.
This could be the start of defunding to many social programs. He needs a lot of tax money to build that fucking wall.
