I really dig the 10oz down to 2oz in the home...WTF....you harvest one plant you can get 2oz. stupid. Regulating THC content?.....how far are they going to go. How will they control that?? Gona give police officers "THC TESTERS?". give me a break.

why doesn't she try to regulate the alcohol content in some beverages? dont see that though, do ya?
It's worse than that. The language in the bill does not distinguish between roots and flower, nor wet weight from dry. According the language in the bill, you could be busted based on growing plant weight. Maine specifically excludes root, stalk, and leaf from the weight you are allowed.

Try growing even a tomato plant that is under 2 oz even before anything you could actually eat appeared.

It is a bill to kill home cultivation. Period.

Another bill would allow local communities to ban home cultivation outright.

And he wants to make underage possession a felony again.

Still another (not his) would raise the age of use to 25. So effectively, a 24 year old war veteran could be busted for underage possession of a controlled substance (a felony).

These jerks need to go.

Senator Lewis is from Winchester. He has been opposed to legalization long before Q4, and Winchester is one of the towns where the majority opposed Q4 ... so dispensary financing not withstanding he's doing what his constituents want even though it's subverting the will of the people.
I'm doing what I can to take the fight to him through his colleagues, but we should think about op-ed pieces in the Globe focusing not so much on marijuana, but on how a small number of obstructionist legislators can subvert the will of the people. Make it about them, not about marijuana.
Get people pissed about being overruled after voting for what they want.
There shouldn't be any arguments about things like driving, proximity to schools, edibles targeting kids ... that stuff is common sense. But this crap about age 25, 2oz of unspecified weight ... that's what we need to fight and I think the only way to win is to make it about the process not the product

Surely he represents more than winchester. Winchester is one of the W towns (very rich, very conservative) but it is surrounded by towns like Arlington which are decidedly less snobby. His district is likely not opposed to legalization, just his town.

But I agree, if we make this about residential rights (own or rent), we can win. Make it about kids getting weed, not so much.

Tragedy has struck my poor plant. Lets just say my cat is napping deeply on my bed. Note to self, never leave plant alone with cat in area. sigh.

I did notice something during her funeral. (yes, her funeral, don't laugh!) Her roots were so small, tiny, little wormie looking things, yuck. I had been noticing her growth seemed slow, but this root development is pitiful! Her roots looked no larger then when I transplanted her 2 weeks ago. OMG....i cant even grow a weed. what did I do wrong? I dont want to do whatever I did again to my next victims....er, plants. I think it looks like overwatering...but I was so careful about that.

Any comments/suggestions/money would be appreciated. LOL

I remember when my son came home from Afghanistan on a leave. He was 20 at the time. He could fight for his country, get trained with a weapon (he was infantry) see his friends die, get wounded, come home with PTSD from all the shit he saw.....but couldn't have a beer when he got home. stupidest damn shit I ever heard of. This country is headed by a bunch of morons. (mom bought him a beer, or two~F**k 'em....LOL)

Kudos to MOM!-been talking to her and now find out she has a son that's done time for us- I'm a Vet and get this-( Weed seems to work for PSTD also). Can we get together and donate towards getting her to where she needs to be with the grow (clones, seeds, equipment, etc.).I'm meeting with her Tues. to donate some quality seeds-And hopefully some knowledge, to get her what she needs for her daughter. I support single Moms that are like grizzlies when it comes to their kids.

Potentially fungus gnat larvae. You've described their appearance and apparent behavior so it's an educated guess.

Just starting my first grow .. the seedlings will be 14 days on Tuesday so it will be a while before I have any clones or medically useful bud. I have some random seeds I could donate, but they're not going to be particularly useful for Mom's daughter ... and I thought that was the point of the exercise.
I've read a lot about micro setups so I could go out and help set one up if that would help. Another thought might be to forget soil if pests are a problem and do a hemp bucket. It does require nutes, but it's pretty much foolproof.

There was a thread this morning on peoples pets eating their plants. I lost track of it but search new posts and you will probably seeit. Pretty funny.

My cats always want to help in the garden. Guess I can't turn my back on them. They are just the types to do it too.......

Any tomato lovers in the group? I'm going to start some black krim heirlooms, sungold cherry tomatoes, and baby girl grape tomatoes later this month. Be happy to gift some if you're interested. I only need 1 or 2 of each for the 2 of us and there's plenty of room in the veg tent until the girls are a lot older:)

Just a thought for all the DIYers in the group. I'm going to be ordering some aluminum angle irons1/8" thick 3/4" x 3/4" x 48" for my own projects from onlinemetals.com. They get $3.51 each for them (unless there's an overstock special) but there's a $20 cut charge and shipping tacked on. If you need some, let me know by PM and we can work out the details ... it will save some $$$.

I have 5 acrres of land, but ironically I have no good location for a tomato garden . Too many damned trees. I'll stick to easy plants like peppers, herbs (the traditional kind). fruit trees, and weed.

Speaking of which, anyone grow peaches or apples? Last year was a bust across the state. The early warm spell and late freeze killed all the flowers.

If you can grow peppers you should be able to grow a few tomatoes. I'm going to "multi-top" the plants and make them shorter and bushier ... left to their own devices, these things are beasts

Here are some references for stealth grow cabinets that should keep out nosy landlords and cats.

There are more on this search page https://www.google.com/search?q=armoire+grow+cabinet&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8 but you get the idea. I believe at least one of our members is a carpenter who might be willing to help if we can find a piece of furniture for him to modify.
