obamas not running anymore. he was a better president then many. i in no way support trump. i did not much criticize hilary but i will. no one gets a pass. i don't sabotage votes like some bernie supporters and anarchists did but nobody gets a pass from criticism for doing harm. my criticism of obama is in no way support for trump. trump is the devil.

try to incite me to do something. propaganda, p.r. is powerful stuff preachers and teachers can be influential. limiting speech can be tricky and backfire. it is not right. it will not solve hate. how would you limit it? what would your punishment or incentive be. how can you be sure your laws won't be used against you. it's a slippery slope. if you want to limit it , imo,, confront it. counter it. provide security and an argument. .. what would you do and how is it not authoritarian or even fascist?

On the hate speech thing, in a society with a high degree of value given to the concept of freedom of speech, then this means that we must tolerate speech that we find repugnant. For example, the KKK and say their shit, as can Christian Identity and all the other survivalist, white supremacist militias out there. That's the price for living in a nation devoted to freedom of speech.

Of course, there are consequences for exercising one's freedom of speech, which is why the FBI and ATF have been hounding those orgs for years (in addition to local law enforcement).

What cannot be said in America are things that will cause harm to others, for example, hollering "fire!" in a crowded space when there actually is no fire.

I liked the Obama scandals. What a quaint time period when a latte-salute had Republicans' panties in a wad. Trump's scandals could bring down the very national government that the Constitution sets up and sustains. then we'll be left with a society riven by turf wars as city-states try to consolidate power. Rob Roy would be happy--he'd finally get his state of nature.
