I'm not sure I agree with that, if you meant what I think you did.

Love and hate have definitions but their definitions pale in comparison to the feelings themselves. Understandable, since the emotions are so strong it's hard to put them into WORDS, let alone a SINGLE word.

But I would argue that they do require a specific vessel to invoke them. Of course the vessel differs from one person to the next, but I think it's safe to say that for most people, love and hate are emotions they feel towards a select few, not EVERYONE.
