I do not personally believe there is that much learning curve between a 600 watt and a 1000 watt. Lower wattage lights require more skill if anything. They do not penetrate that well so more advanced training techniques like scrogging are needed to truly maximize yield. 1000watt lights offer greater penetration, you can top your plants once to create some extra heads and from top to bottom your buds will be well developed, where a 600 watt will only give you a top canopy. This lets you use a shorter veg time since you don't have to do excessive training, and if you do desire to do extra training, it'll pay off twice as much.
Everything that your saying makes sense for someone that is thinking yield IMHO, but it's his 1st grow, he should be thinking crystal.
I just created this for my signature a few days ago. No one has commented on it yet and I haven't asked anyone's opinion of it till now, I would like your opinion. Might be stupid advice, IDK might be smart advice.
What is you opinion of this:
First Time Indoor Soil Growers!
Think small.
What matters to you most quality or yield?
Learn to grow great crystal before you learn to increase yield.
Thinking about yield on your 1st, 2nd or 3rd grow will lead to disappointment.
Smaller plants are less demanding.
Smaller plants increase your chance of success.
