(1) Northern Lights X Big Bud

Germinated around 7/18/17, in a paper towel then transferred to rock wool. After first true leaves were present around 8/1/17, I transferred to a 4"net pot filled with hydroton.

Ph-6.0
Rez temp-65
Canopy temp- 81 day/73 night
GH flora series nutes.
Commercial air pump pushing 4 air stones.
600 watts about 15 inches above canopy.

8/6 - I topped the fourth node. Plant was 2 1/2" tall.

8/13 - I cut off the first node branches and lst'd the 6 tops i had from nodes 2,3,4. Plant was 10x10x3.5

8/16 - I topped all 6 tops.

8/20 - I lst'd 14 toos down to 5.5" tall.

8/25 - topped the two center tops and lst'd the outer 12 tops. Installed 48x48" scrog at 7" above Rez.

8/31 - plant is growing like crazy and is 30x30x7

9/3 - second picture before I tucked. 34x34x7

9/5 - 38x38x7. Counted approximately 100 or so tops last night. Picture is from today right after I tucked her back down.

From what I've read it's 3.5x3.5 It'll have to work for this grow, I don't have the funds for another light right now and I don't want the heat issues. Thank you for the kind words. Thinking maybe next time I'll use the 600 for a veg light and buy a 1000 for flower. We'll see tho.

I bought everything individually. As for set up time- I've tweaked things over the past two years but it now takes me longer to clean up and sterilize everything than it does to set it up.

9/7- just knocked her back down. Before and afters below. Roughly 40x40x7 give or take in a few spots. Never taken clones before but I think I'm gonna try to take 2-3 tomorrow. Flipping the lights sometime between tomorrow evening and Sunday. (Not stressing about flipping right after a few cuts, let a friend take 5 last week and she didn't bat an eye) Very excited to see what she's gonna do.

9/9 - Day 1 of flower. Just changed the lights timer, and the Rez (2-2-2, .5). Also took 3 clones (I've never taken clones so we'll see what happens.. might take a couple more tonight or tomorrow). I'll change the bulb tonight before the lights shut off.

She's supposed to be an indica so I'm hoping I'll be ok, but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't in fear of the stretch.

ANY GUESSES ON YEILD? Just for fun. Just curious as to what everyone thinks.

I'd maybe look into 315cmh. Two of them would rock that, over a 1000hps. Maybr im not sure what area they cover. But two of them would be nice over that giant lady. I think I may switch to cmh. I wasn't meaning your light wasn't good enough. It was more of a compliment. As in that plant is a monster and going to outgrow your light.

I'm running a hybrid right now. That is sat dom. I didn't expect as much stretch being a hybrid. But she stretched like a mofo. Faster than I thought. Came home from work one day. And she had grown into the light....

This bitch is drinking 2+ gallons of water a day. Everything seems to be rolling along fine other than a small handful of leaves (maybe 10 or so) that have small yellow spots in small clusters. Not sure what it is but I'm not gonna stress too much about it unless it starts spreading. Maybe the fan on the corner beat them up a bit? Maybe when she drank half her Rez she burnt herself? Not sure but will keep an eye on it.

so far I've broken 3 tops trying to tuck them before they stiffen up too much, one being one of the bigger/best ones on the plant.. boy did I get mad. Oh well.. can't even really tell they're missing.
