Plants were from seeds. I got my soil from the home depot and they have it stored outside in the "yard"could be from the soil, how does the place that you got it from store it? Also, i treat my grow area like a lab. no street shoes and I go in the room in my chonies. No one else is allowed.
Where did you get the plants from, seed or clone?
Yeah that would work , you can get more concentrated at domyownpestcontrol.com but pyrethrin is pyrethrin . You can apply it every whenever you want really. Just watch concentration. Better to go light and apply more often. I usually put an atomist on a cycle timer to spray every couple hours for 5 seconds or so. That's just to let any bugs know of danger. They usually tuck tail and run at first whiff. You think this would do the trick? If so how often do i apply it? View attachment 4008816
I think i'll try it. It has good reviews on Amazon. I tried ordering that Doctor Zymes for $12.95, but at checkout they wanted to charge me $18 bucks for shipping and that's more then the flippin' product cost... That just seemed wrong to me. lolYeah that would work , you can get more concentrated at domyownpestcontrol.com but pyrethrin is pyrethrin .
Mighty wash always worked for me on spider mites, then I brought a clone in from a friend, loaded with russet mites. How do those products work for you? I quit looking at anything other than pyrethrins. Kind of pricey at 110 bux a quart or so but that's very high concentration and a quart ends up lasting 2 years or better. I generally like it due to it's broad spectrum, haven't found a bug yet it won't kill.
I always finding myself wanting a Decontamination/Sterilization vestibule for pre-entry to grow rooms, and using all the environmental controllers in conjunction with Clean Room equipment to maintain the grow room itself, just for piece of mind...Also, i treat my grow area like a lab. no street shoes and I go in the room in my chonies. Commercial growers don't even do that. The best offense is a good defense.I always finding myself wanting a Decontamination/Sterilization vestibule for pre-entry to grow rooms, and using all the environmental controllers in conjunction with Clean Room equipment to maintain the grow room itself, just for piece of mind...
But then I imagine how much it would cost to build a grow room like that, especially one big enough to merit using that level of equipment.
More for research purposes than production, but I realize that and agree with you, the best measures are preventative measures for sure. The extra attention to detail and effort always show through in the end.Commercial growers don't even do that. The best offense is a good defense.
Lmao yeah not even going to lie, putting one of those on before entering a grow would probably put a grin on my face the first few times. My main idea besides general biological/botanical research, would be using it in a breeding environment to prevent any pest infestations without chemical agents, and to minimize the chances of bringing vehicle-borne or airborne pollen particles into the room.+ style points tho lolView attachment 4008996
After taking a closer look, there is quite a bit of webbing. Its pretty nasty. I'm thinking this grow is trash. I need to figure out how to rid my soil of these things and start over. Any ideas?Looks more like thrip damage than spidermites. Hard to tell from pics. Either way that looks like an infestation not a new problem.
Based on the damage you would've seen webbing by now if those were spider mites.
Sorry, baked and up late.. Have you considered neem oil?Can you spray 3 weeks into flower?
I had 5 plants that were 4 weeks flw. and 1 plant that's 2 weeks in flw. I just chucked out the 5 plants because they were so badly infested. I kinda wanna just start from fresh with new seeds after i sterilize everything but i'm afraid they are in the soil.. I have my soil water logged in the wheel barrel right now because i heard you can drown spider mites. What week of flower are you on?
you can bake your soil before using to make sure it's clear of bugsI had 5 plants that were 4 weeks flw. and 1 plant that's 2 weeks in flw. This may seem like a stupid questions but how long should i bake it for and at what temp? 350? I heard baking soil smells up the house pretty good. It would be worth it to me if it for sure worked.you can bake your soil before using to make sure it's clear of bugs
not positive, But 150 degrees for 20 mins ought to kill em good, works for bedbugsThis may seem like a stupid questions but how long should i bake it for and at what temp? 350? I heard baking soil smells up the house pretty good. It would be worth it to me if it for sure worked.
