Who cares if it's 4 million or 8 million? I'm just saying that the worldwide population wasn't large for most of history, which is why I quoted the estimate of 1.2 million Jews as late as 1764. It doesn't make sense to say the "approximate" number of 6 million killed is a small fraction of those killed by Christians before then. You realize that until 600 AD, Christianity was a very minor religion, don't you?

I am pointing out that in your recent posts, you say many of the same things holocaust deniers say. That there was a holocaust is a fact and doesn't require, as you put it, belief. If one looks at the record, there can be no doubt that it happened.

The reason I'm harping on this is because the holocaust ranks as one of the most terrible crimes against humanity in the modern age. The terrible crime of the holocaust discredits the belief of antisemitism. By extension, the motivation and events of the holocaust discredits anybody afflicted with racism or bigotry against a group of people. This is inconvenient to fascists and others who would use scapegoating of a minority to increase their power and influence. Including the burgeoning alt right that is a growing canker sore on US society today. This is why holocaust denial is such a vile lie.

If all you are expressing is cynicism that anything can be known, then I say facts do exist and the holocaust is one of them. You should read more.

I respect and appreciate your response. I am making that claim for an affirmation of truth and not in a reference or an argument of denial. Its just the truth. Its can be used as a proponent to an argument of denial, but I am not attempting that, ever.

In regards to the remainder of your post, I simply could not agree more. I believe the holocaust happened as a matter of fact. I believe that the exact number is still unknown to this day, as a fact.

I am no different in defense, It is worth standing up for, and it is worth getting to the truth.

I don't think most of humanity wants to see another holocaust for any group of humans. But, I am not hopeful that a resolution is possible for both the Palestinians and the Israelis. There is not much capacity for war, but I see a perfect scenario for a holocaust ...this time it being those prisoners of Gaza and the West Bank.
