Do you mean Glock? Another thing that pisses me off is that chances are the guns you buy off the street are stolen from upright individuals like myself. I had 2 (loaded) guns stolen recently and would love to find out who did it.

1) There are automatic handguns chambered in .38 Special (usually pretty good ones at that), 2) a .22 for home defense so you won't kill ,but really hurt someone?!! You can't be serious. Unless you want to risk killing a family member or neighbor a short barrelled 12 guage shotgun with 00 or a decent hand gun with frangible bullets and good knock down will suffice. Pull out a .30-.30 or .30-.06 or any other high powered hunting rifle and you are going thru the bad guy and into God knows what next. If the world goes to Hell in a hand basket, get yourself 1) .308 caliber for hunting and defense from a distance, 2) a good .40 or .45 caliber handgun (1911A would be good), and 3) a small caliber rifle for hunting small game without blasting it into smithereens. Also stash plenty of ammo for all of the above or have reloading equipment available to you. Have a nice day :)

What are you on CRACK .. "a.22 for home defense so you wont kill"
The .22 is the CHOICE weapon for killing, because the bullet gets inside and bounces around inside .. I guess you don know much about firearms , Most assassins use a .22 in the course of their jobs ... It is the perfect weapon for close quarters

Yes and no. The .22lr round does on occasion enter the skull and lack the velocity to exit it and it does turn your brain into swiss cheese. That being said if you can get a head shot off from a dead sleep in the dark then you need to be working for the CIA. For normal people a .22 would be a horrible caliber for home defense simply because its really really small and it has the tendency to over penetrate (miss the asshole breaking in and kill your neighbor's daughter asleep in her bed).

I have a 12 gauge short barrel with a tac light under the bed loaded with 5 double 0 buckshot and 2 magnum slugs (for runners), then a 1911a1 (the handgun carried by our soldiers during WWII, Korea, Vietnam and the smart spec ops teams even today. That is chambered in .45acp and I have 8 rounds in it (7 in the mag and 1 in the pipe) and another 2 loaded mags sitting right there.

On top of that my carry piece is sitting on my vallet on the dresser loaded as well (thats just where I take my wallet, phone and gun out of my pocket at the end of the day.

So I would consider my house pretty secure while I am home, on top of all that I also have a 120 pound dog an a 20 pound chihuahua, chow, golden retriever, and bulldog mix who is actually meaner than the big dog (Chihuahua head, curly tail, black tongue, majority stocky frame and terrier personality)

as you walk over to your dresser, a .22 round comes through your window and nails you just behind your right ear.. you will drop like a rock and there may be but a slight trickle of blood .. that shotgun is useless ...
