Help.......Trouble finding simple FULL PROOF nutrient line/recipe for soil grow.

Sup guys.... I really need some advice. I'm ready to commit to my fourth grow and I'm having trouble choosing a product line or finding a recipe for soil grow. Ffof is easy to get around here so I would like to use that and preferably flowering nutes from a trusted line or trusted recipe I could use when nutes deplete from soil.

complete newbie when it comes to nutrients and feeding. My last 3 grows was mainly focusing on completing the life cycle of a plant and keeping it alive. I'm ready for this one to thrive. I'm a heavy smoker so I'm not trying to grow no bullshit.

Dynagro Foliage Pro and Protekt will work beautifully if you're looking to keep things simple. 1tsp of each with a good clean water source and you're good to go. Its complete and balanced for cannabis.

You're probably going to get a lot of different suggestion (which why I suggest a board search) because people tend to rec what works for them. I've used many and Dynagro is probably the simplest affordable combo I know of beside GH 3 part system with Calmag.
Or if you're looking to keep it organic hop over to the Organic section and you'll find some very easy top dressing methods that will work with your soil. Keep in mind timing and good micro activity is a must though. Straight organic living soil takes a bit of getting used to.

As you progress in your grows you'll be able to branch off and find what works for you.

You just opened Pandora's box!

How many different nutrient lines are there?
That's how many suggestions you'll end up with.......Everyone doe's things their way! Any nutrient line will work! The problem lies in many of then having BS charting! It's up to you to find what works - For you!

There are lines that work directly with their charting.....Pricing of them is a broad spectrum.

Things to avoid: ANY company that tells you, you can do even better by adding any set of expensive supplements in increasing level's to do things better and better.....with increasing results for the more you spend.
Any line with more then 4 bottles (There are exceptions to this "rule" but, it'll be up to you to decide if the extra expense is worth it.)

Even with the simplest 2 ways to go. Jack's classic citrus (powder) or the Dyna Foliage Pro. You have to figure out the concentration to use that works for you best. Not to mention the strain.

I'll even go so far as to say. "I" can do better with other products and programs (for my goals).....

I suggest you take the time to read about growing. Lots of reading about growing. Rosenthal, Cervantes, Frank and Green. Don't forget the organic books and the organic "bibles" of Teaming With Microbes and Teaming With Nutrition organic soil growing books...

While this is happening. Get a "not" (now) blooming African Violet. Grow that according to what they need. Once you can get that African Violet to bloom. You'll have no problem with Cannabis growing.

Still want a direct answer......
Hesi soil works as charted. You can save money by using Kelp extract for the ROOT and SUPER VIT product. Pay attention to how they change their NPK ratio's. You'll understand what I mean in a few years. There's my 2 cents on damn easy right from the bottle.

Watch their how to video on growing with their products. Pay attention to the daily watering/feeding thing. That's a perfect way to supply O2 to the roots without any fancy schmancy pot that dries out too fast.

This is your starting point. Things change, you'll change lines eventually. Maybe even get smart and learn how to build your own Water only Super Soils.

This has so many different possibilities.....It is a learning by doing thing. Takes time and patience.

Si is awsome Dr. I did a side by side on 2 sage plants from seed before i added si to my roots organic grows. Both sage plants in ffof nothing else except the on that also got silica (Pro-Tekt) not only was the silica one larger with more vegitation ( think from the potasium in the protekt) but the silica plant has much much thicker toughter foilage. If i was to only use one additive besides a base grow and bloom it would be silica.

I know the Si isn't nessesarilly "needed". Its more or less a very simple way to bring the pH up and keep it stable. I really liked using the two together. It was so simple and produced very good product with little work.

I switched to Roots as well and couldn't be happier. I like the original a bit better than the 707 but both are great

Perlite (or pumice, etc, for aeration)
Fertilizer (ie cow/chicken manure and/or liquid fish/kelp)
Compost (earthworm castings)
Clean Water (non-chlorinated)

No chemicals no ph-ing no bullshit. Just water the plants as needed... Learn about how to recycle soil; add select dry amendments & compost to recharge it for another cycle.

I prefer a simple peat based soilless mix. Either promix HP or Berger bm6 cut with perlite. No phing needed and you know what your putting in there with every watering. This run I've only been using mega crop and calmag and plants look decent. I might run dynagro next run though when the bag runs out.

The K is the key! Not the Si...... You are 100% correct that what you see as a fuller/denser plant is from the supplementing of the K...

It's use in soil (Si) is still not needed....BUT, you supplement K and get the result your looking for.
I've settled in on a 6% K2SO4 home made mix for supplementing my runs (drop it at 2-3 weeks to go. I prefer at 3).

227 grams of Potassium Sulfate powder (50 or 53% - the 3% diff. is basically meaningless here)
1.5 tsp of DARK BROWN SUGAR.

10 ml per gal of feed - every feeding.

For me the issue of the Si is the reactive factor to other chem compounds we use.....I want to avoid that as much as possible.

In fact, you don't "need" to run Si in hydro. It is a good idea to!

Now you see why I don't and that you can still get what your looking for, without the Si!
I even make sure that any pH up I use. Does not contain Si....

Dont overcomplicate organics,npk is not as important as healthy soil. Healthy soil will have all thats needed. Grow the soil and forget the plants.

I'm saying that supplementing soil with Si is not needed....
Will it's use in soil increase the actions of the available Si from the soil?

Not much. The plant can get "As much Si as it needs - from properly built soils"....

Too much of anything, Isn't a good idea.....

What trouble are you having with ocean forest?

I have a few thoughts on this. One thing is the age of the bag. By 6 months the nutrients are compromised. Eaten by bacteria and fungus.

If stored in wet or humid conditions this can happen faster.

The myco appears and has to eat something. I have seen his happen with open pro mix in my basement before too. Stored in a Rubbermaid style bin. The myco had grown extensively all through the peat mix.

The plants showed deficiencies in it right away. The nutrient charge was gone.
