not bad work for a beginner......

i would consider the idea of just putting them outside for the time being since New England is legal, find a nice spot when the sun hits it.....keep in mind since they are so small, you gonna have to up pot eventually...in your case prolly after there first true leafing this way they don't get root bound.....when you do up pot, make sure the pots have plenty of drainage holes for watering....GL....and welcome to RIU btw

cheers

I'm in your area. I'd get it into a bucket and put it outside. Look into hardening off plants. You have about a month and a half to 2 months of good veg growth before it starts flowering. Do you know the strain? Might have to plan covering and keeping it warm later in the season of its a long flowering strain.
Unfortunately i don’t, and hello fellow new Englander! That sounds pretty legit, thank you for the tips

Well for one ya dont want 6500 k bulbs for veg you want 4000k for veg and 3000k for flower so thats a start.
for a start, you're wrong. 6500k is fine for veg. 4000k will give you less stretch, but otherwise, they'll produce about the same growth.
you can flower under a 4000k, or veg, good for either, you can even use the same one for both, you'll just get a minimal amount of stretch.

I read you shouldn’t put a small plant in a big container.. because of the watering and oxygen or something.itll be okay if i plant my teeny tiny plant in a bucket?

Wow! This girl asks for help GROWING and gets a lesson on leds, she gets hit on like this is a dating site, and she just wants to experiment with a couple of plants outside. Sammy, just go get a cheap fluorescent with t12 bulbs at 6500k. They are cheap and work very well. You can literally have the leaves touching the bulb and they won't burn. Get your babies up and going before you put them out. I would say you probably want at least 5 or 6 nodes before going out with them. Put them out in a shaded spot and let them acclimate before leaving them out. Good luck and many blessings
Thank you a ton sweet soul ! :blsmoke:

Thank you! I’m surprised by my own green thumb, lol. I really been trying. When you say “first true leafing” what do you exactly mean? Please explain if you can

Those first leaves are cotyledons. Subsequent sets of leaves are true leaves. It'll be obvious.

There's nothing wrong with a small plant in a big pot. I go straight from 1 gallon to 400 gallon all the time. I find it better to reduce transplant shock, and transplanting bigger plants is a pain.

If you are the type of person who likes to learn a lot about something that you do, then I highly recommend getting a Cannabis grow book/bible (there are lots to choose from) and read it cover to cover. It won't have all the answers and it will contain a lot of info you don't necessarily need right now, but it'll stay in your head and create a great foundation. This helps prevent rookie mistakes.

If you do this, then you need to water VERY conservatively, just around the stem, until the plants are bigger. If you water all the soil really well, the plant can't use it all and the soil remains soaked and suffocates the plant. Rookie mistakes!
