No, I think if all people do not attain the wherewithal to consent to something at the exact same age, there is a possibility that laws which attempt to codify something like consent by setting an exact age in a particular locale, which laughably differs from plantation to plantation, may be abrogating at least one persons ability to consent, somewhere. Hence, abrogating a persons right.

You yourself have provided an excellent example of the idea that while most people follow general age trends when attaining mental wherewithal to do things, it is not a fixed thing.
