I feel like these are a little small for 29 days?
And it looks like one of them is starting to flower.

PS. This is my first grow. Go easy on me...

They look good. The first 3 weeks from all canna-seeds is pretty slow. Except maybe hydro

Continue veg nutes until it really starts blooming. Giving bloom nutes at the first signs of flower will hurt your yields with autos

In the moment of that picture I believe they were underwatered. I watered them after taking the photo and they perked up quite a bit after an hour or so.
 
my first grow my plant flowered at 6" stretched to about a foot and had an okay harvest. nothing amazing but still better then nothing. idk how much it was but im guessing wet weight maybe about 20g it was more then 10gram for sure. i dont grow auto's so can't really say and i over watered the hell out of my plant and it was an outdoor grow so i didnt really expect it to start flowering so soon. it was stunted in my closet for a good week.
 
Yes they look small.

I have to ask why you're growing auto's indoors where you can easily control the light times with a timer and grow photoperiod plants. 12/12 from seed or a couple weeks veg and then flip to 12/12 would probably give you a better yield and access to superior genetics.. I wouldn't grow auto's except for an outdoor grow in a short season region.

But good luck with your current grow.

They perked up because there was oxygen in the water you gave them. They were starving for oxygen because the soil was too wet. I have had this issue for a year now. They will soon be over watered again once they use up the oxygen you gave them. Let the soil dry out for about 7 days and check. If still damp wait another 5-7 days. A pot that large and a plant that small, the ime between waterings will be shockingly long. Don’t listen to people telling you to water every 3-4 days.

It's winter here, and I can harvest them 70 days from germination. I'll try photos next time.

IllI give it a shot. Although I will say the soil was dry about 3" down before each watering. I don't water until they droop. II'l try to adjust though. You're right, it's not easy.

if i am not mistaken you do NOT want them to start drooping to water. this causes stress in some way im sure. with my current grow plants of that size i had in 2gals but idk what your using since they are auto's. i watered every 5-6 days. watered the entire pot as they got bigger went down to 4 days. when it was close to coming down to 3 days of watering which was around 7 weeks of veg i potted up to 5gals and repeated the cycle at 5-6 days of watering. i literally could run them 6 days until next watering by the 7-8th day i forgot to water once they started to droop.

how do i test? i literally dig my entire index finger as deep as i can if it feels moist i don't water. i do this daily and if i feel it is dry i check the weight by lifting the pots. it takes time to get used to the feel but eventually you can judge

with my first grow i did the exact same thing but watered every 3 days. top felt dry but when i transplanted due to stunt i heavily figured it was badly over watered and i was right. bottom half of the soil was extremely moist and smelled awful. luckily the plants roots were not that big otherwise i would of gotten root rot. for this reason i always pot up just to try and help me judge my watering better. it's easier to under water in smaller pots compared to bigger pots to me at least especially with smaller plants. but since your growing auto's i guess you got to reduce shock as much as possible which includes transplant shock for better overall growth.

Thanks for the input. It's hard to tell. I was watering about 5 days apart and each time the soil was dry an index finger deep. Do you think I should have used smaller pots? (These are 5 gallon)

like i said i don't grow auto's so i can't really give you info on pot sizes and if potting up is beneficial due to how auto's grow. it just takes practice for me i had to push myself to underwater more even though it is literally hard because i want to fucking water them daily in mass amounts lol. what i think you should do next time is grow photo's. to me if you can grow photo's fairly well you should easily grow auto's no issues.


what i noticed when my plants did get underwatered that one time and i knew they were going to need watering but i simply forgot to water them is that the leaves and the stem connecting to the leaves felt flimsy as fuck. like something sucked the life out of it. when i over water the leaves are droopy but the stems seem kind of on the stiffer end as if their is water in it. kind of like a ballon effect. a ballon with nothing in it is super flimsy add something like water or air it gets stiffer. add more water/air it swells up.

just based on the picture though it does look like over watering. you say you water every 5 days? try cut it back to every 6 days or 7 even and see how it feels at day 7 then try to water. 3 inches of roots is literally nothing to these plants. grow my plants in solo cups for i think about 2 weeks max plants were fairly small before i transplanted. but the root system was already coming out the bottom/starting to.

i advise to grow photo's because you have the liberty to keep them in veg and experiment more compared to autos due to how auto's grow. other then that it's literally just a learning process for everyone. some people are good at it others take more time but eventually you will get the hang of it. it's literally an easier process imo then dealing with nutrient issues man when you get to that point it just becomes a fucking headache to me at least.

Make sure to fill your pots almost to the top with dirt...you may have 5 gallon pots but they're only 2/3 full of dirt...you're really only working with a 3.5 gallon pot currently...g/l
