not to bitch about the rules but, I feel we should get like 7 days or something under a regular light or 18/6, with my set up using a veg and a flower room, it's unfortunate but in order to be on 12/12 I have no choice but to start under 1k hps! and I feel that's what killed my 4th!
We couldn't in good faith call it a 12/12 from seed comp then eh?
Figuring out and managing the logistics of such a grow is half the battle & fun of it.
Gotta try to get in where you fit in.

well unfortunately, I started dropping 30 min off my 12/12 schedule before I started the comp, and considering were talking about ball park of 5 grand worth of product, I really didn't think 30 min less would effect anything, or even be noticeable! but also changing 5 grand worth of harvest, back to 12/12 could affect my girls in a very very bad way! there's just no way in hell I'm risking all these girls for that!

I hope that don't disqualify me, but at the same time, I'm 100% sure every one of you would agree with me on this, but it is what it is and rules are rules! but there's isn't a flying chance in hell, I'm risking all these plants to push the time back up 30 min! but it is what it is...

I really hope in won't be booted for this, bc I'm very much looking forward to this, but at the same time, until march 3, there us just no way I can go back to 12/12 rather than the 30 min I cut off my light schedule! this is my life and my way of living, and I'm sure everyone can understand why I can't chance anything with this! the day of harvest tho, I'd be happy to go back to 12/12 which is on March 3, I hope this is acceptable, if not just let me know now plz!

Absolutely nothing. Roots must stay in cup. Thanks for clarification.
This is just my interpolation of that rule...grain of salt.
They must stay in the cup,no DWC hanging type roots,no roots hanging out of the cup and still living assisting plant growth, nute uprake etc.

We are confined to 16oz of medium/media inside a 16 oz solo cup. Root trimming and resetting is our perogative.Could be a detriment or an advantage,it's moot tho.
However we do it it must be inside the cup.
I plan on resetting a lanky one I have now,if it's against the rules...that one won't be included in the comp. It'll be sexed and transplanted if it's a girl.
Again this is what MY interpretation of the rule is.I have no issue with being completely wrong.

I'm running 10/14. Okay okay,this is technically a "seed to flower comp".This isn't Dawg's comp where it's 12/12 no exceptions.
No need to risk crop yeild, just toss 'em in the corner of your flower space and have fun.
Unless, you are actually trying to win....I guess.

I don't really mind about winning! I'm winning with that gg4 lol, I just find it fun. and an interesting challenge! and just wanna enjoy being apart of it! But hey cob no worries man, if I was going up against myself in a competition, I'd feel the same way you do, shaking in my boots and and scared shirtless of the amount of talent I see sitting across the room!

lmfao, I laughed hard at that one^^^ just messing around tho man!

That’s where I was going with my original question...resetting my lanky bastards and for future root pruning. If I could bonsai the roots...which I could still do to the roots trying to protrude from the cup without removing the root ball.
