Well my girl is looking great. Second set of fan leaves has officially opened up. Colyedon still green. The smaller colyedon yellowed up. Will be transplanting in a week or two. Thinking I can still go 1-2 more days before a new watering.

I can’t find much about Candida strain by medical genetics online. I really want to know how much they stretch so I know how long to veg. I rather not get into height trouble.

OK. New rule at my place. No sampling the scissor hash until all the buds have been trimmed. I probably spent an hour playing some puzzle game on my phone with 8 more branches to trim. lol Two plants down, probably another week before the other two are ready.

This is nonsense. grab some seeds and let it rip. There are too many houses to have the door to door cannabis gestapo.
There are lots of Canadian seedbanks and some hydro shop still sell them if you ask real nice.
No kidding. No one is checking your “legal” grow op. No one would have checked your illegal grow op a year ago if you did it right.

Just get some seeds from the many places online. Get growing and grow the fuck out of it.

For us Canadians...Costco has a blue red led light that is the bomb for germination. I’ve never had plants grow so well so young.

Everything looks great. Those tops seem to go on forever!!

You figure another 5 weeks till chop?
Thanks, def lots of tops, obv nothing massive, but a bunch of medium sized buds, should be fun lol

I have no idea on chop time, first time ever growing, i did read a bunch of journals before i picked this strain tho, earliest was chopped on day 60 with majority being around day 65-68

So ya, i expect another 27-35 days if those journals are indicators

edit: just went back and looked, a few of the different phenos actually went to 77-79 days, so who knows lol

I'd lean towards the 65-68 day finish. The three strains I have grown this past year were 7-9 week finishers according to the breeder. Each one finished closer to the 9 week mark so day 65 sounds more plausible.

Nothing massive? Not yet. The calyxes haven't started to do their beefing up. They'll look fatter still in about 2 - 3 weeks from now.

I dunno i think topping is a great idea. Having one real large bud for the center cola is cool but when you can get more tops you get more buds in a way but smaller. Creates more harvest though i would think and therefore worth it.

Ya very true, it seems safe to add a week on the breeders times. Like i said too, the grows i watched were mostly finishing in the 65-68 range, so im hoping for around there.

Ya its gonna be exciting watching them fatten up, a full canopy of nice sized buds sounds good to me lol

Ya thats how i was thinking, more med sized buds, rather than 1 massive , the main reason i topped and bushed them out tho was to take full advantage of the footprint i had to work with.

Im flowering under a 600w hortilux hps, having 1 main cola was just gonna force me to keep raising my light, therefore decreasing everything down low.

By topping a few times, i spread 4 plants out across a 4x4 and let the 600w smash them all evening lol

I may try scrogging once my seedling is full grown and clones are cut. Still haven’t decided on my flowering light though haha.

I was gonna scrog these 4, then i realized i hated the idea of them being stationary. I like pulling them out of the tent or moving them around. Especially for watering

I would def scrog one massive plant, or even 2 , but i changed my mind on the 4 ,i thought the 2 in the back would be a nightmare to water, so i took the net out.

I scrogged mine. My net was solid framed out of 2x2’s @ 10” above the pots and man it was a pain in the ass. Especially for a newbie who is always examining them and wanting to move them around lol. It worked wonders though. I removed it about 3 weeks into flower when they started to smell the house up so I could put them into the cabinet I built. They stretched up a little but I still have a very nice canopy.

After what I've seen on my first grow I believe this.

Did not top my plants on this grow, and the buds below the main cola get significantly less light, like 20 klux difference from the top of the main cola - about 25% less light intensity. The lower buds are definitely less dense than the main. Will absolutely do some topping and scrog the next grow.

I always thought about that as well with scrogging. Not being able to water the rear plants or having difficulty with it. Thank god I only plant to flower two plants at time. One in the front and one in the rear.
