Many here are frothing like a bunch of Sean Hannity drones watching the Benghazi hearings on Fox News when they thought it all led to Obama. Only difference CNN has them frothing instead of Faux News.
These hearings are pure political garbage whether its Dimms or Reps running the side-show.

Turn on Faux News...Cohen's testimony PROVES no Russian Collusion!
Turn off CNN, MSNBC mainstream media or even Faux News because its a battle for your mind!

Do you really think the Benghazi hearings were the same as the one on Wednesday by Cohen? I sat through news reports and watched portions of both. Testimony was completely different in tone and evidence presented.

That is correct.
The founding fathers were not stupid.
They knew full well that if it was legal to indict or sue or otherwise involve the president in a bunch of court proceedings it would make it nigh on impossible for him/her to do the job of being president.
That's what article 2 section 4 of the Constitution is all about: removing the president from office for high crimes and misdemeanors so he can be indicted by law enforcement.

The precedent is from 1973 when Watergate started and Spiro Agnew was VP.
Agnew was busted on a Maryland kickback scheme and the DOJ decided a VP could be indicted but the POTUS could not.
And it's actually unsettled law, if you want to get right down to it.
A 1973 precedent, never challenged.

Trump is right in that the news these days is largely fake and sensationalist. They create sensationalist headlines and arguments to sell papers, get clicks, and sell advertising.
Like a few weeks back, there was a lot of hubub about the old George Burdick supreme court case. They tried to make out that it would have bearing on Donald Trump Jr and made it sound as if Jr. was going to be picked up, arrested and pardoned by Trump most any second.
It was completely bogus on its face. The case had absolutely NOTHING to do with that situation at all.
Now, the reality is that they all knew it didn't, but by God everybody was talking about it, weren't they? That's clicks. That's papers. That's money! They don't give a damn if there's any real merit to it or not.
They've been doing the same exact thing with the "indict a sitting president" thing for a while now. It can't be done. They all know it. But by God that's not stopping people from bringing it up, is it?
Of course not.
It, like the Burdick case, has nothing to do with the present situation. I said then it would never happen and of course it didn't. This will never happen either.
He'll be impeached first, if even that comes to pass. Once he's out of office, he's going to probably spend the rest of his life defending himself in court and eventually die in jail...if he lives long enough to be convicted.

Main stream news may be sensationalized for ratings....but rarely fake. Calling the news reporters fake is part of trumps shtick....discredit those that are exposing you. Telling the truth about thump is 100% fake news to republicans.
