The Chinese Quantum Board Knock Off Builds

Is there any chance we can put this to rest now?!?!? For those whove been with us for some time i remind you that there are several threads about china boards and other threads have been derailed and abandoned by everyone due to incessant chat about should you should you not by them, are they really top bin blabla. This thread is about china board builds, not about why getting them. Anyone building or growing with these show them. Im sure the china versus US discussion can get traction somewhere else.

And yeah, i will show some build soon but unfortunately these next lights will take some time to get up over greens as the grow i consult for is looking at eviction. So frustrating but it means the next grow ill get to setup from the ground floor.

Can someone link me to the best available chinese boards to buy ?

or point me to the page in this mammoth thread where i might find that information?

I have seen them on Alibaba but the techy stuff is not my area of expertise, so i want to make sure im looking at the correct boards.

What is your budget?

Im aiming to cover a 4x8 table as best i can

Ideally id like to stay within 1500-2000 max ( obviously i dont mind a little cheaper lol)

Am currently running 1 x 600w hps in a 4x4 and 2 x 315 cmh in another 4x4, will be moving to a 4x8 ebb and flow setup after both tents are finished.

Also, in case you didn't know... Hansien produces boards for bcblondes. Same efficiency per diode as HLG.View attachment 4308383
I do not buy leds from hansion. I source my own leds, have them sphere tested and then have a board made. There's a reason I don't buy hansions diodes. Please stop spreading false information about my company.

Hi, i have seen the name mentioned a few times

what do you have to offer someone like me?

im looking to cover a 4x8 table, growing 40+ clones

Budget can be upwards of 1500-2gs if needed, obviously would prefer cheaper lol

I would recommend 2 680 watt game changers. https://www.bcblondes.com/product-p/bcb-680-3012.htm

Here is a video of your exact setup with 2 game changers on 4x8

They run at 680 watts on 120 volt or 650 watts on 220 volt

They look nice, but the price is heading up and outside of what i was hoping to spend.

@ 1329+ tax each im looking at closer to 3gs instead of 2 lol....i have 1230 watts of hps/cmh currently, i want to move towards leds but can only spend so much and feel good about it lol

Thanks for taking the time to respond.

My lights are the most affordable of all the premium leds on the market. If you cant afford mine I would suggest DIY or DE HPS.
Cool, i wish you nothing but the best. They look like nice lights.

I have to say tho,
Its not a matter of not being able to afford yours, as thats not an issue, its a matter of yours or anyone elses being worth $2 / watt and me paying that price and feeling good about it.

right now, i think not

if i can move towards Led and feel good about it i will, otherwise ill stick with the tried and trusted HPS

Thanks for taking the time out of your day to respond, appreciate it.

I like FoTops for 4 feet wide aisles.

Basicly, stick 3 boards lengthwise, they will each cover about 16 inches of width. Use about 150-200w per board and no heatsink is needed. Calculate about 30-35 w per squarefoot. Id do that space with with 2x hlg480s but if you fancy extra power go for 2 hlg600.

I use lm561c as they are cheap, only around 75$ per board. The difference to lm301b is minimal, and is not worth another 50$ per board imo. 6 boards are 450 plus shipping and taxes. Dont buy the kits. Source your drivers from local or digikey.

We get spectacular coverage, even and strong at around 8-10 inches. 1.7g per watt and 50g per square foot on first try with icky environment.

If you are not having heat issues, then I would have to totally agree with you. HPS/CMH is good bang for your buck.

Thanks bud,

So is this building 2 lights, each with 6 boards? using 2 x hlg 600, i can run them at 450-500w each and still gain some efficiency?

What is closest these boards can be placed together? I would love to hit the 1300-1400 watt mark above the table, if possible.

3 boards a fixture. Each board is about 3x1 feet. With about 5-6 inches between them. I like to run them at around 150 each, its plenty to flower anything under the boards. Thats running every diode twice as soft as any normal qb build does. YouYou run them upto 200w with no heatsink.

Im sorry, still trying to figure all of the led and qb stuff out.

Why what? Im not quite sure what you are asking me.

Why 1300-1400 watts?

or why would i want to run them close together?

I am trying to max out the wattage above the table, thats the best i can answer, i assumed more boards/drivers = more watts

if thats not what you were asking, i apologize and will try and answer better if you clarify.

Oh ok, so making sure i am understanding this correctly,

3 boards per fixture, each board can run at 150w? so each 3 board fixture can run at 450w efficiently? I can run each fixture with hlg 480 or hlg 600?

Just wanted to clarify if thats what you meant? or am i reading that totally wrong? lol sorry guys, just woke up, even dumber than normal at the moment lol

do you have a link to the boards your referring too? the fotop?
