the g-13 is the higest weed in thc that I have ever smoked I just hope over the years that the fem, beans put out the thc as they did in every past grow that me and ever friend grew out doors.it was the best pot to knock your ass out.this is my first with the pinkleberry.it has been 12-15 years cents the last grow of g-13 for the feds that year got 80 percent of the g-13 the last grow and there went are mother plants.

Oh shit what a bummer! Ya I don’t see why it would be bad. It will probably turn out good. Plus I never have smoked g13 so I wouldn’t know the difference lol

update- out of the 5, 3 were male. both of the 2 remaining showed female, then hermed a few days later. 1 was less hermy than the other, so i removed all the male bits and im going to let it run. the other was extra hermy, and was culled. the sole survivor has just started to set flower, and the calyxes are showing a orangish pink color. here it is, end of week 2, after what will probably the last bit of training it will receive

That’s shitty with all the herm male bullshit. Is that bad genetics or what?

too early to call, i think. nothing out of the ordinary has happened in this room that im aware of. there are little light leaks here and there- its a cheap tent, but these are the first to herm out in it (out of 3 runs so far). i have read that the pbk was bred outdoors, maybe that is a factor and they just arent happy indoors. maybe they dont like mineral based nutes. maybe they dont like hydro. maybe one of my dogs sabotaged them? i dont know. i dont want to claim bunk genetics just yet though. the conditions in this tent are far from ideal, but it is a little suspect that the only 2 girls happen to herm out when nothing else in the tent has done so. im going to let it run though, all male appendages have been removed and it should be easy enough to spot new ones with there only being the one plant on that side.

Bummer to here some hermie reports. I am struggling to remember but I don't think I've ever had a plant "hermie" on me. I've had plants through some late flower bananas but not show early intersex traits.

I think you've got the right approach @thenasty1 by not imediately just blaming the seeds. I see growers all the time talk about I grew one pack of seeds from whatever company and it was all males or I got hermies so I'm never using that breeder again. Sometimes it's genetic, sometimes it's just bad luck, but you get that.

same here for the most part. there have been a few times when i got the "oops all males" bit, but im ok with that if one of them turns out to be suitable for chucking. i figure if this plant continues without any further male flower development, then the genetics are probably fine. it may also fun fine from clone, so i will test that too if this one makes it to term satisfactorily. the one i just chopped had tons of male flower, some of them right next to female flower on the same node. i should have taken a pic, it was whacky.

the pinkleberry hermed on me every female yup:finger: a f5 ibl that's some real bullshit
how far into the cycle until you saw male flower? mind elaborating a bit on how you ran them (media, environment, unforeseen stress, etc)? i had the same thought- i wonder if this strain is actually f5 ibl. i saw a fair amount of variation between the specimens, along with the stability issues.

tons of male parts, true hermies, day 17 is when I first noticed but by then they were heavy into it, I had four females they all did it, I still have two large unflowered unsexed plants that I held back because at the time they were the runts so I'll get another look but they're gonna be garbage too I have a feeling. Hand watered, one gallon grow bags, 630 cmh, Roots soil. Many other plants same diet same room zero issues. Green Source fucked up on this release and they've had years to get this right, blows my mind and they also didn't return my email informing them of this issue. Lame fucks.

i tried to email them a while back when i was still trying to acquire these beans, i got no response then either.
i wonder if many folks have had similar experience to ours. i dont suppose you know anyone else who has grown this strain? i have tried looking around the interwebs a bit for grow journals or something, but i didnt find anything beyond a couple articles about greensource in general with a few pbk pics sprinkled in

That does suck, but that seems like a whole lot later then 17 days into flower, did you let them finish and this was later on?
