Wow, roots. So do you sterilize all those hydro balls before your next grow? If so how and how much money does it cost? How much time?
I can tell you right now the time you spent just getting all the roots off I’ve filled my pots and ready for another round and you haven’t even got to cleaning your system.

I think the difference between DWC and SWC is just the size of the tote. So it can be a volume difference and perhaps a 'heating up' difference.
I aso have never heard of 2 root systems. For sure a plant develops a different kind of root system depending on the medium or the way you give them water.
What I did see with systems where there is a large gap between the watersurface and the bottom of the netpot is this thick, almost woodlike root. Totally useless for the plants or the roots, and thus a waste of space.
Most hydro-sytems are very alike. It are just small changes, hybrids or modifications.
For sure there are differences, but lets not make things to complicated.
Look at the 'Kratky' method: Amazingly simple and it works as well.
Also be aware of anecdotical evidence: I have seen respected members here talking about why their system is superior because since they changed the system, they never had root rot anymore or their yield got better. I am happy for them, but perhaps they just became better growers.

It’s al about them become becoming more experienced and finding a system that is not prone to their weak points. Dwc is the most prone to root rot, aero, nft, sdw, Hempy are far less etc.
I’m also going to add that I believe that plants are happiest when they are in an environment they’ve evolved to thrive in over millions a of years. We use bulbs that mimic the color of spring summer and fall. I also believe they like mediums that mimic soil over water. I’m not saying they don’t kick ass with water substrate, but I think they prefer soil type mediums. Transplant shock is less into soil type mediums over other hydro in my experience, a few hours compared to overnight.

I would rather spend a couple hours cleaning rocks than waiting another 3 weeks to veg. DTW maybe better for noobs but I will never go back to lugging bales of Pro Mix and waiting for the slower veg. I do a DTW every couple years for old times sake and I'm amazed at how much faster DWC is in veg. That isn't always a terrible problem because sometimes my DWC plants are ready for the flower room before the flower room is ready for them. I know a lot of people struggle with DWC so maybe the DTW is better for noobs but not for me.

DWC is also called bubbleponics.
The only difference so far as I know is just the size of the tote or bucket. For the rest it is the same.
it is mostly a 'word'-difference, but using all those different kind of abbreviations, makes it all more fuzzy.
Especially for new growers who think 'I must get SWC, because it is way better then DWC'.
Another general note: For helping people understanding topics it would be nice if people would do their best to write proper English.
I am not a language expert as well, but I try the best I can.
Reading posts that have more similarities with tweets coming from some lazy rapper are annoying to read.

For me it's all about the roots, you know people say, Krusty bucket or Kratky bucket, or blah this or that. I could call mine a yummy fukkit bucket, but really, it is what it is, I've broken it down bit by bit explained it in detail and set up a run which I have not updated btw here's a shot right now. I've only changed the res twice. I don't just talk the talk, I walk the talk.

You're right, you can call it what you want.
But there are methods that already exist, so it is easier to stick to the same name.

I also get your system to a certain point.
The only thing that puzzles me is: where the middle tote is for?
Would it also not run without that?
