They got a bit wet, but not soaked. Adjusted umbrellas, added tarps and laid some bricks.
2 days of rain, so hoping for the best. Looks like there might be some sun to warm the tarps inbetween.

They're in a wind tunnel still, so I just need the wind to pickup past 15km/h for a bit.
I'll take the leaf blower to them again tonight, didn't want to make so much noise at 5am before work.

That's just not going to happen with the weather going the way it is.
Doing my best for now, but not too worried about it.

you can cover them over night.....
Frost only happens the hour or two before sun rise....and lasts about as long .
As long as the temps are above freezing in the 50's 60's yer fine

Yeah you gotta cover them to extend your growing season some. I’m well north of Toronto but I have a hoop house over mine. Everything from Home Depot and scrap wood I had lying around. I don’t have to worry about rain, wind, or frost( for another month hopefully) ... always a fight with humidity but that’s just how it is up here at this time. I should get to November without much issue and have 2 plants that will need at least that first week of November. Get some clear plastic (3 mil) and rig a roof over your babies! Lol

I'll work on some sort of solution - for now I have 2 umbrellas and a solar blanket covering them from the top, but with open sides to allow air through.

Not seeing 0 in the forecast for London yet, but I might be missing it.
I've got more tarps, tents and 2x4s then I know what to do with, I just need the rain to hold off while I rig something up.

MJ can handle freezing marks (especially if covered) no problem as long as the days are relatively warm (10-15C) even less. once the days get cold (5C or less) consistently is when you have a problem. There are plenty of decent fall days left in the north, without a doubt. Let em grow!
