This weekend im switching my plants from veg to flower, going to be running 2 400 watt hps lights in a 4'x4'x7' tent anything I should be on the lookout for? Or anything special I should do to make the transition

I have a fan inside blowing on plants as well as intake and exhaust fans recirculating air and removing heat

Thank you next crop I'll be using 1 1000 watt hps light for veg instead of the 2 125 watt cfl lights that in currently running

Raise ur ph. Phosphorus, Calcium, magnesium will be in high demand now. They are all more available at a higher ph. I'm in soil. 6.8 for flower. The 1000w hps is way overkill for veg. Too much red light too. Makes for lanky, weak plants. If you have the 1000w already, you're better off using that to flower. Use one of the 400s and the cfls for veg.

Use a digital dimmable ballast for your HID light, set it to 500 watts to start out, and put a Metal Halide bulb in it for the vegetative state. You can ramp the wattage up as it grows.

Ok I switched to flower got a timer set for 12/12 to go on at 230pm and off at 230 am sho that way id I need to get in there the lights would be on so I don't interrupt the dark cycle. Im using koolbloom nutrients mixed in a 5 gallon bucket with my flower lights roughly 18 inches above my plants with intake and exhaust fans and filters setup. Temps are between 75 and 82 degrees on average with the lights on.

Any tips or recommendations to ensure a healthy crop?

Your set up looks great 12 to 18 inches from light and a good temp best of luck.

Just follow the instructions on GH nutrients that you are using. And use a flushing agent like flora kleen every three weeks to prevent salt build up and one week before harvest flush and then run straight water in improve the flavor.

Note lower humidity produces more tricombs improving potency 50% or lower preferably around 40%.

6 plants from clones, not sure of strain, I know I need a different ocelating fan.
Should I keep my fresh water in my tent so there light can burn off any chemicals in the tap water?

Looks great.
Its a good ideal to add your nutrients and then adjust the ph then let water stand 24 hours to let the chlorine evaporate. Then recheck the ph after 24 hours and readjust. Its normal for the ph to change by 2 or more points over the first 24 hours after the second adjustment it will be good for a week if left standing. Also letting the water sit for 24 hours it is very important to make sure the water is room temp because if its too cold or hot as this can shock and even kill a plant.

BTW light is not needed for the chlorine to evaporate.

Thank you for the info. I tested my fresh water after 24 hour and was around 8.0 which I know it's way too high so I mixed in my koolbloom really well, re tested and added ph down and got it to settle between 6.6-6.8ph.

Now im just not sure how much water to actually give the plants

Did you ever mention what media you are growing in?
I would go easy or not even use the koolbloom if in soil.
If the upper section of your plant develops yellowing spotted leaves in the next couple of weeks it will likely be from too much bloom food too soon a common grower error.
Good Luck!

Im currently using foxfarm ocean forest. And i never used as much as they call for per gallon of water. I dial it back just in case it is a little too much

Im not sure how many litres in 5 gallons but rule of thumb is water to run off which roughly equates to 1 litre of feed/water forevery 5 litres.so a 10 litre pot youd give 2 litres etc
Also always give your water holder a kick to release the chlorine as it sits as bubbles on the top otherwise youll just mix it back in

Good, I'm glad you are dialing it back.

I have a lot of experience with FFOF and I would never use something like Koolbloom.
Your at a stage of learning that most go through.
Bloom nutes should be introduced slowly at the beginning of flower.
With FFOF and too much Koolbloom lockouts of nutrients can occur in early flower with the upper half of the plant yellowing or developing dead spots often followed by the grower misdiagnosing the plant and increasing the nutes that the plant does not want and in the end the quality goes down.

If you want to stay with soil as a grow media start reading about synthetic fertilizers that feed the roots like koolbloom and organic fertilizers that feed the soil like earth worm castings and kelp meal my go to choices along with a balanced dry amendment fertilizer.

Kushash is right koolbloom is not for soil and i would not recommend using it until the third week of flowering and then only once a week at half to one third strength until week seven.

Koolbloom should be used with a soil less medium like sunshine mix or coco or rockwool and used with the flora bloom series of nutes.

To get the watering correct in soil I use cheap moisture meter it should run about 12 bucks. I grow pepper and tomatoes on my deck. It makes watering easy just keep the moisture levels in the green. Note you only need one because you have to remove and clean them with every use.

BTW a PH of 6.6 to 7.0 is fine for soil. Hydro is 6.3 to 5.5 depending on the medium.

Is there any special kind of trimming I should be doing while in flower, like removing lower branches or leaves. Or any trimming to make the plant focus more energy on growing buds?
