Hi all, I'm currently using Samsung lm301b quantum boards and I was wondering if someone know which glasses are good to protect your eyes? I have the idea when googling that most glasses that I find are for the blurple lights and not for the full spectrum ones. Any input is greatly appreciated!

No UV in the light’s spectrum so any regular sunglasses if you feel the need. Blue light is the next “Big One” when it comes to eye damage. Just watch as Blue becomes the new “UV”.

The price on the hlg seems high. Have you looked into a 600 rspec diy kit? Im in the states and get the 550's for around 700 u.s.Check out ledgrowlights.com. he will help you out man

I initially used HPS and CMH, so happy that I switched to HLG-600H and HLG-600H Rspec. Over 600w at the wall, huge savings. Cheers

Don't know much about the lights but it sure looks like slick setup. Not cheap but appears to be pretty quality stuff. I like the fact the guy who does the reviews seems to review all the lights fairly and without bias.

I ran a standard 288 301b qb last run and im thinking about upgrading.

Which would be better?
I pulled 1.5g/w with current board. Would i see a big difference with either of these upgrades?

The problem with those lights isn't that they don't work, photons are photons. The problem is the efficiency and efficacy. You can get similar or better efficiency from some HIDs than from most blurply LEDs and low grade white diode arrays.

So in the end, whether or not mars are shit depends on your goals.
For me, they are shit.
For someone with one small light in a closet, they might be worthwhile.
Check out the migro videos on youtube for light to light comparisons.

I don't understand this kind of reply.

1- you say "they don't work". But I've just told you, with weights, and light costs, that they do work. They 100% do work. How do they "not work". (unless I'm lying of course)
2- I said in my post, very clearly, they they are not as effecient as HID and don't represent good value at RRP compared to HID
3- I ran nearly 600w in a 4x4 and filled it.

So they do work, but there are better things out there, but they run cool ish, and, do work. (All my cuttings, mother plants, and seedlings are brought up under a mars 100w LED)

I still don't get the Mars hate. I guess it's an elitist thing?

For that $230-250 you could build a light for a 3X3 or 2X4 area that would have 10X the spread and twice the watts. And more efficient

My buddy bought 2 600 watt leds from alibaba and compared them next to the hlg 600' he got from me and they are identical but much less in cost. I think they were 385 u.s. dollars compared to 700+ from hlg. Im buying to 550's v2 rspec and 2 240's from them and its under a grand. Same ip 65 and meanwell drivers.
