negative, stay away from anything LED on amazon imo

Unless its an HLG, nothing on amazon in the led section will perform better than the 600w hps.


Mars and spyder farm seem to be putting out some better up to date leds, but they are gonna cost more than $200 to achieve the coverage your looking for.

They had 5 weeks + 2 days I believe for veg, see that one 8ball kush man? It’s around 30” now sitting like 4-6” above the rest. It’s only day 13 of flower but seems like there almost done stretching I left one 600 a metal halide just changed it for both HPS two days ago.. what u think that looks like for yield now? If u don’t remember it’s a 5x5 tent. Just switched 5 of em out of 9 over to Gaia green dry ammendments April 12th and it seems to have inoculated and is finally working.. nugz r stacking quick!! Pound? 1.5-2? Don’t look like two lb there to me but I been growing fer 13 ish years man n these buds exploded quick on that 3 part advanced nutes with big bud voodoo juice calmag Epsom salt N just started em on molasses last week.. crazayyy

Ended up goin with the 2nd cooltube 600w HPS , now that I’m day 32 flower outta 65-70 what you think the 5x5 is gonna yield roughly? Bet theres gonna b sum big ass nugz come harvest btw lol q

i wasnt basing it off the ft2 for growing, i was basing it off the coverage of a 600w light.

no 600w is covering any 5x5 for flowering. veg yes, but flowering, no chance. That was the point of my post, if you had said you were using a second 600w for flower, i prob wouldnt have even posted in this thread lol.

I have the HLG 650 and the footprint is 7x7 flower and 5x5 veg!

Cool, Im not sure im following your point tho?

My post was in regards to a 600w Hps fixture, there isnt one made thats covering a 5x5 flowering.

You have a 650r HLG, thats a completely different animal, it should cover a 5x5 for flower, its replacing a 1k lamp or more.

They are looking good man, nice job. Glad it all worked out for you.

No idea on yield, too many variables between now and harvest. If all goes well, i expect 1-1.5lbs for sure, thats what i was hitting growing with similar conditions and equipment.

your gonna have some nice buds tho, thats for sure.

My bad, I misread your statement. I thought you were saying no 600w at all. Lemme mind my business and continue learning. I got the shit and got no experiencing growing at all, it’s still in the box. Enough for a perpetual harvest. 2 of everything. Never touched .....Back to being a rookie a go‍♂

Gd to know that I got a gd light! I just went off of research and bought a bunch of shit. I’m over 5k in with no experience and not a single seed to plant. I’m waiting on some now so I can try to get my first grow under my belt. I’ll let u see how the light is doin when I get it poppin!

Yes, fire up a journal over in the journal section, we have a lot of very good and helpful growers around here, most of us are always wanting to hel out wherever we can. At the very least steer new guys in the right direction.

You are already ahead of the curve tho, you actually did proper research before you bought your equipment. kudos for that. Most dont.

Any light you have will have less of a footprint in flower buddy sorry for the ignorant post a second ago on your other comment I didn’t realize you were a rookie grower. Whatever an HLG650 is er whatever. It’s gonna for sure have less of a print on your setup in flower. Example 600w HPS veg print-5x5 eventually becoming only 4x4, beginning of flower-4x4 ending in 4x3.5 probly ..i’d barely trust one 600 in a full 4x4 tent that’s why I got two in my 5x5 instead of one 1000w... more light coverage eh..

I’d b stoked @1.5lb but I just can’t see myself hitting any more than 550 grams this run due to my 5x5 having enough space to fit another full plant in there no problem.. ppl kept telling me I better flip my lights quick or ima run out of room n all this hroseshit about the plants stretching sumtimes triple what it is going into transition.. never in my life has a plant gone any more than double for me and as expected my plants went from 17” to 25”.. I know next time to fill it rite out an not listen to the noobie growers.. I’m doing 4 half pounders scrogged in next run, or six 5 ouncers.. I think my heaviest of my 9 plants will still b shy of 3 ounces by a few grams, I donno we will c.. my guess is there’s about 18 ounces dry altogether I will know more in 3 weeks. Harvest in 4.5-5

A good rule of thumb for ant plant with indica dom traits even if it’s 55/45 er sumthing, bet no more than double your height from beginning til end of flower, and probly only 1/3 stretch will happen like in my case as a veteran grower.. example -3ft the day u flip lights, 4 feet finish height.

*Hlg 650 is an LED thats equivalent to 1000 w de hps! It’s from Horticulture Lightning Group.

I still ain’t baught on the LEDs totally tho, next change of setup I’m gonna be adding a 4x2 flower tent with a 700-800$ LED to grow only exotics.... wedding cake/tropicana? Cookies etc.. will be my 6 ounce tent of personal smoke.
