Depending on your diluent you can then make an oil with significant alcohol et al contaminants if you did not vac purge. Then again this is not my terminal degree. Let's ask @cannabineer

PS If you don't vac purge I'd encourage you to do your extraction with a food grade etoh. I'm glad you enjoy the fruits of your labor.

PPS If @Metasynth ever offers you a dab just say no! LOL the time I took one I was taking 2 grams of edible a day and smoking constantly. Still 1 dab sent me catatonic for over an hour.
The alcohol is surprisingly persistent in the viscous residue. Varnish behaves like this. The solvent in varnish would evaporate completely (open dish, no heat) in an hour. But entrained in the varnish, it’ll take a week or longer before the thin layer of varnish is no longer tacky.

So, a prolonged pump-vacuum purge is a necessity, otherwise you don’t know how many % of mass are solvent dead weight.

5-6 years ago you could still order 190 everclear online for 35$ a half gallon.
The grocery discounts on bases aren't nearly as big as they used to be. When I was in the military in the 90s I remember being able to buy a carton of Newports at the commissary for $11 which was less than half the price of a carton off-base. I don't smoke anymore, but I picked up a carton at the commissary last week for my wife, and the price was about the same as off-base ($94).

A lot of places have banned any alcohol greater than 151 proof to "protect" people.
We could really use an eye roll emoji they don't have it at Edwards. I usually have to pick it up on the rare occasion I drive to Port Hueneme.

They are trying to disincentivize smoking. I find overall I save 30% or more over off base food purchases. IMO that and our medical insurance seem to be our most valuable benefits.

Another method to try to get people to quit, and a source of easy profits. I make smokes for us now.

Sin tax  As long as they make windfall profits you can have your poison. That only made sense to me if that tax was put into an account to pay for smoking related illness. So yup I am with you on the obscene profit motive.

You should ask if they can special order it, it's not like they don't have access to it.
I did ask and was told they have lists they can order off of depending on the class of commissary. Apparently having a Class 6 in the back of the Stop n Rob doesn't get you the better liquors. I enjoy the trip to Hueneme it's lovely out there. Oh and they had it at Vandenberg too, go figure.

Yeah, that's what I figured. I remember back in the 90s AAFES threw a fit because the commissary was selling cartons of cigarettes for way less than the base exchange was able to so the commisaries were forced to raise their prices to make it "fair" to AAFES. Medical is definitely the best benefit. I go to the VA for all my medical needs still because, even with medical insurance, everything is so ridiculously expensive that it makes no sense for me to not use the free care I get from the VA.
