5th grow,giving organics a go

Kia Ora fellow growers,I have been trying to gather information for little while over a month on organic growing,still only my 5th grow as is have tried coco and normal soil. obviously its gonna take years to craft all the knowledge and get experience.So anyway i got a few bits and pieces together to try and go the full hog on organics.I ended up with a decent worm bin,compost tumbler and ordered all the dry amendments i could get, that was close to what some of the recipes are for SS.I have a 4x4 with a 480w actual draw Qb,intake,exhaust and 2 rotating clip fans.last month i made some SS and base soil for my next grow(3xgelatoOG,1xCookies gelato,1xGelato33).My starter pots have store purchased compost mixed with organic seed raising mix and perlite,it seems i have a problem tho and i cant figure it out.ive read about vegreating but have no clue,only 2 dont have this(gelatG)and also the 1 at the back on far left is drooping(cookis gelato),any help would be appreciated.

Good luck! I don't think you'll need it though. You seem prepared! The most valuable advice I can give you is be deligent in your studies because almost everything dealing with organics is time sensitive. Decomposition rates vary so when you get caught lacking whatever its hard to correct without degrading the performance of your grow.

Cheers mate,i really enjoy the organic method already in terms that you can utilize the composting for waste from the house and use it for the vege garden or grow room,and the longer you use and look after it it gets better,i like that.My daughter loves that worm bin.Could you enlighten me tho, as to why that one plant is so droopy?

The only thing I see is a possible nitrogen toxicity. Maybe a litte to hot for the young ones. Only thing you can do is try not to overwater and let them grow out of it. Once those roots lock in you will be good! Happened to me when I used too much blood meal!

Damn it i used a lil bit of dried blood abt a week ago on the back 3.

is it just me...because there was no problem untill i thought there was, then i put blood in there and now i have a problem,sometimes i guess i should just leave them alone but its so hard when you read so much shit, and then think there is a issue with the ladies,when really there sweet.Does any1 else have this problem?lol

In the future if you ever use blood meal use it only when you first ammend your soil as it can be very strong especially for young plants. Also with organics as you may already know its all about balance. When you feed your girls never feed with just one macro or micro nutrient as it can lockout other nutrients if you dont do it correctly. Make some plant extracts. You can make a fpj high in nitrogen but it will also have smaller level of all the macros and micros so its alot more forgiving. I hope Im making sense.

yes it makes sense,i am getting the bokashi kit this weekend.it totally does make sense mate,i hate making those rookie mistakes.

Notice there are no blood meals or guanos! Dont be hard on yourself! Your mistake is a cheap lesson which will result in priceless experience bro! Cheers!

You are correct! I would use the Mycorrin and Trichoderma at a 3:1 ratio to keep the balance. Honestly the only thing I use from a bottle is fish hydrosylate. You have a worm bin and bokashi bucket which will cover your needs for aerobic and anerobic bennies. I know your'e just starting but the goal should be to push away from as many outside dependencies as possible. Korean Natural Farming is a excellent read. Take what you like and leave the rest. Once you have your soil established you should be able to maintain a healthy garden for less than 200 a year.

i will heed that advice and try to keep liquid at a minimum,obviously still water.hopefully by the time the next grow is ready,so should my compost.yes i cant wait to get the bokashi up and running should be magic with the vege garden also.

I wouldn't flip a plant until any issues have been completely resolved and she's growing optimally. Hopefully that doesn't take too long because you're running out of room depending on the post-flip stretch you expect with your phenos.

Agreed. Looks pretty crowded, I'd only do 4 plants that size in a 4x4 tent. 4 plants with plenty of room can yield more than 5-6 plants cramped up together. Not to mention the potential issues for mold/mildew and pests due to the cramped fit.

cheers guys,since we are in spring here in nz, i was planning on doing 4 in the tent and getting the worst affected one,clone the shit out of it and put them out into nature.

Gelato's parents are Sunset Sherbert and GSC. I would say the Gelato for outdoors.

I've never grown it, but I've grown the clone only Sunset Sherbert a bunch of times. That one starts getting fat fast. It's prone to nanners though if you stress her too much.

I saw nanners at day 28 from flip once so I chopped it. It already had decent sized buds. It was pretty surprising. It wound up being my wifes favorite, lol.

I actually threw one outdoors here in CO at 9000 feet this summer. It could've went longer if the weather was better, but I still got to harvest my first outdoor plant.
