Tested positive for covid anti-bodies yesterday.. Am I still contagious??

From MayoClinic: After infection with the COVID-19 virus, it can take two to three weeks to develop enough antibodies to be detected in an antibody test, so it's important that you're not tested too soon. Antibodies may be detected in your blood for several months or more after you recover from COVID-19.

So I'm guessing if you have anti-bodies you don't have covid.

Have you tested negative for covid? Thats kind of the test that tells you when you are not contagious.

I only did the anti-body test. I felt fine for a good week leading up to the anti body test... According to mayo clinic it takes 2-3 weeks for the anti-bodies to appear in ur blood, by then covid is gone bc its only contagious for about 10 days.

You don't guess very well. If you have antibodies you could still be shedding virus. Is it statistically probable no, but it is possible and in your case....

In every way..........

I don't get this... They are telling people now to quarantine for 10 days and anti-bodies take 2-3 weeks after the on set of the virus to show up in you're blood.... If I'm still possible contagious what good is a 10 day quarantine doing for people???
