You could. Increases the chance that you might over water. First time grow, probably better in a solo cup with drain holes cut around the bottom then transplant to the 3 gal when the leaves reach the edge of the solo cup.

Thank you for the advice. But even if I have a soil meter I’m still at risk of over watering ?

Soil meter wouldnt even come into play at the seedling point because you shouldnt water the whole pot enough to even stick the meter in. You can do it in the pot, just light watering around the seedling for awhile, Probably not to runoff until about week 2-3, depending on growth.

So you think my best bet would be Dixie cups with holes in the bottom then transfer into three gallon I really appreciate this man it’s my first time growing

Cool I’m going to take your advice and do it that way so I can pop the seeds in the medium and put them right under my Light temps between 70 85 and humidity at around 50 ?

Yes, but it's usually better to start in a smaller container. Easier to not overwater that way.
But I transplant into 15 gal pots when they're pretty small. I've even cloned straight into a 10 gal pot. It can be done.

No shit I want to start in a 3 gallon because its less stress in its final container I really don’t want to transfer plants and shock the plant to much so you telling me it can be done and there auto flowers also

Yes it can be done easily. Since your soil is new, it really would help to start in a smaller pot and then add a bunch of Mykos to the rootball at transplant. But you don't really need to. It's just another way to make happier plants. But like I said it's not absolutely necessary. The soil will have some mycorrhizae in it, so don't sweat it much.
Just be careful not to overwater.
And if you're delicate, there's no transplant shock.

Yeah I got my purple punch in its 2g I'm using and back in day my blue dreams went directly into 3g but like said just be careful on watering , works both way 
whatever you think is best for your own conditions will be the best choice imo

Water only FFOF It was in a 5 gallon container and was the only plant under a 600w mh light.

True even in these 2 gallon i had 4 days between watering now its 3 but end of day 2 they are light haha in flower

if you want to make sure the soil has the correct amount of moisture then fill a container with perlite, water it until water is nearly at the top and then place your fabric pot on top of the perlite. it will keep the soil moist thorugh capillary action. this is a great automatic watering method.
