Flushing plants

I mean, two weeks+ tastes like anorexic shit. similar to the taste of leaving buds on the stem for two weeks after chop. I think there is a happy medium. It may not be the nutrients, but something tastes different.

What's the right way to make a cup of tea, ya know?

Preferring unflushed weed, hey go for it..... But I swear flushed vs unfinished tastes different. It's like a wild animal has a "gamey" taste.
Interesting

Have you treated your unflushed exactly the same as your flushed? Replicating each step?

Basically. I flush (actually I dunk) in 6.2ph water for my last 3 waterings. My feeding is always 6.1-6.3. if I put straight 7.3 tap water in, they won't really drink it..... In the long thesis, he doesn't say anything beyond "ro" water.

I grow bonsai clones, so having 8+ off one mother at a time is common for me. When I have several like that, experimenting with a couple always happens. I'm about to flip 12 identical clones like usual.

I just don't get how people can say "unflushed" is scientifically proven to taste better, yet it's scientifically proven that only confused bros can taste the difference. See what I'm saying?

That study was a one time run, with limited blind taste testing. If they proved the same results over multiple testings then that would be scientific.

Regardless, I still feed my plants until harvest.

Well they won’t drink much at higher ph levels.

I don’t think it’s scientifically proven, it’s just clear evidence that flushing doesn’t do what it’s been reported to do all these years.. so knowing that, why is anyone still flushing?

Why the preference? I don’t flush and we all love the end result.

Ok who is "people"?
Herbs and suds insinuated it and basically told me to get off the site for saying my friends and I prefer the taste of flushed weed.

But nobody has said it verbatim, it's just kinda glaring.
I mean, how can people tasting a difference in a blind test not prove that there is a difference in taste?

Maybe if I didn't grow up smoking flushed weed, I would prefer the taste of unflushed weed in a taste test. Idk.

I've grown over 100lb in my life, I have done lots of little experiments with a partner, so we could solve disagreements.

I'm still gonna keep flushing my weed, I think I can taste it.... Therefore I like smoking weed with at least 3 days of ph'd water.

I did a test a couple of years ago.
I flushed the medium and stopped feeding one for the last two weeks........after a 6 week dry and cure there was no difference in taste or harshness.
The only real difference was that the plants I didn't flush still looked good to the end.

Everyone is right and the Op is wrong, a link is hardly evidence, what makes whoever the decider of flushing being best or not... Feck off its the individuals choice, if I think it's better/worse that's what matters.

How many of you can honestly say that you have tried both, I'd guess at least half the replies are only repeating what they've read?

To each his own. Continue doing what you want with your plants. But don't say people are "saying" things when they aren't.

Then again, I’ve never flushed, lol so maybe we just don’t know the difference

Lol it’s interesting bro I’m trying to figure it out too. Don’t get off the site bro we’re all just learning. That’s a lot of growing you’ve done, you have a lot to offer here... its all just back and forth discussion

Thanks *bro* ;) lol

But one funny point.... My mom only mentions that she smells weed when it's some reggie..... I can have crazy 25% shit stinking out the whole cul-de-sac and she would never associate the smell of chronic with "weed"

Do you grow 100% organically?

I can smoke a bud 5 days of drying and be super smooth. No harsh taste whatsoever.

When using synthetics I could taste a harshness but that could’ve been I was over feeding.

regardless. Organically (like it’s suppose to) grown weed is far superior in terms of smokability and flavour.
