Needing a bit of help on what’s the best leds to fill a 2.4x2.4 tent, have been looking at Lumatek etc but was wondering if anyone could suggest anything slightly cheaper?
Thanks
Thanks
Could spend about 2000£ on it but not really thought about it mate don’t know what I’m doing50.5 sq feet that’s a lot of space to light up.what’s your budget?
Have you considered building your own?
Best advice is to not buy anything right away. Get your knowledge squared away so that you buy the right light on your first try, and don't regret your purchase.Could spend about 2000£ on it but not really thought about it mate don’t know what I’m doing
#1 on the list I’d suggest ditching any mounting hardware they include lol
And buy 20 of them ?I use this light and it is affordable and Bright!
In your original post you said "what’s the best leds to fill a 2.4x2.4 tent". If you meant this in meters that's 8ft x 8ft. So no, if this is the case, then no. (why would anyone need 20 of those lights in a 8x8 tent?? Quite an exaggeration there, lol. ) I have two 2ftx4ft tents set up side by side. One of those lights I suggested works great for a tent that size. Are you using CO2? If so that could change the lighting application you use. I use a 1000w bulb in our main grow room and I chose this specifically for the heat it puts out to take advantage of utilizing high CO2 at higher temps. The heat from the exhaust fan is pumped directly in the grow room for winter months. I only use LED lights for seedlings until they are ready to be put under the HPS to flower. LED lights will Def keep your tent cooler if that is what your going for. I tend to favor HPS and Mh lighting. LED is great. Especially the Apache AT200And buy 20 of them ?

If you have a deep pockets try:You would need 20 of those lights for a 8x8
Puts you at 31watt/sqft
Holy shit. Who in their right mind would pay over $1K for that shitty 200W light. In your original post you said "what’s the best leds to fill a 2.4x2.4 tent". I think the guy just like recommending junk leds. Doesn’t have a clue.Holy shit. Who in their right mind would pay over $1K for that shitty 200W light.
I'm not familiar with the UK market, but here's a seller with good products, including Lumatek.Yeah I meant meters mate, I’m either just going to go with 4 Lumatek 465w, or telo 10s unless anyone can recommend anything better uk based
Yeah, that Apache is crap, but I wouldn't call the Maxsisun junk and I find the Groplaner interesting. It looks like it could be a quality light, but they need to provide test data and diodes used etc.I think the guy just like recommending junk leds. Doesn’t have a clue.
A 8x8 foot tent is 64 square feet and 35 watts/square foot is typical with quality LED. 64 square feet at 35w/ft. is 2240 watts. In your original post you said "what’s the best leds to fill a 2.4x2.4 tent". If you look back at my post, that you quoted lol. If you read it, you would see your reply was not necessary. I will repost again. This time, if you read, you will see I was talking about the light being in a 2ftx4ft tent.A 8x8 foot tent is 64 square feet and 35 watts/square foot is typical with quality LED. 64 square feet at 35w/ft. is 2240 watts.
22.4 of those 100w lights are needed for 35w/ft.
Your 100w light in a 2x4 is 12.5 watts/foot and everyone here knows that won't get it done.
Maybe you should stop assuming that it was in feet and expand your mind a little that the world is a large place that uses other measurements? American I take it?The lumatek is nice! Ppf 1256umol/s
