I get the frustration. If you want some fun in the future, you can do a simple mix of living soil with 3-4-5 ingredients and just learn to water without a plant in it. You can let it dry all the way, keep it moist or whatever. Then when you feel ready you pop the seed.

Watering straight up soil for a few months will teach you big time.

Week 7 update pics.

My previous DWC grow was easily 3x as big as this at this point. I also read 420fastbuds strains don't produce much, so far that is true. They say 63 days from seed, thats two more weeks lol. She stretched a little bit, but these colas look like they might be a bit small.

I overwater plants in soil without trying, that is why I tried DWC. I read that the 3part (2part) GH nutrients are slight better than the Maxibloom. I have no problem mixing them, I would assume Maxibloom would give me the same results. Also the time investment.... I get bud for free, I just tried growing for fun, but it turns out not to be fun when you dial in everything people tell you to and it just doesn't work. But thanks for your response.
Look... stay between 5-10% water by volume of soil. Unless you're using bottled nutes, then water to 20% runoff. Get a garden sprayer and some yucca extract. Growing in soil is easier than you think.

I have two soil plants with this one in the same tent and the same age. I cant even see them they look so small and weak. This DWC is effortless, I do nothing to it except keep water at a line I have drawn in on the side tube and it grows. Plants in soil seriously don't work for me lol.

You can see a small basil on the left that is the same age, giving it nutes/water, the plant is a joke.

My first run in dwc looked worse than yours.... your plant really doesn't look all that bad. Roots looked pretty good. If nothing else chalk it up to experience.

I did dwc my first grow.... it's effortless if you have your system dialed in, and you have to keep constant watch over parameters. Living soil is much easier and less stress imo.

Everything was dialed in but the light, I just never experienced the issue of "too much light" in week 4 I maxed the LED and I didn't even get "praying" leaves, it just completely stop growing period. After 3-4 days after turning the light down it started growing again. The basil seems to be getting new sets of leaves now.

Coco might be easier for me but not sure. Soil seems like a no brainer, but I could never grow a plant past maybe 5 nodes and by that time the stalk coming from the dirt looks thin and weak and it just falls over.

It took me a while too, believe me. It just takes some practice. Coco is hard to overwater, almost impossible, but you have to make sure not to let it dry out.

Oh no, a little problem today, or maybe its been there for a bit. Plant is getting hefty, but I noticed some white fuzz, and when I took the lid fully off II see fuzzy white mold  . It appears to only be outside (and probably inside) the net pot, everything that is submerged in water looks fine.

I'm over due for a rez change which I'll do tonight or tomorrow. In the meantime I added 3 cap fulls of 3% H202 and filled the water line and inch above the net pot. Was this ok to do? I used colloidal silver and RO water only last grow and didn't have this. This round I'm using tap and some hydroguard. I also noticed the air stone was a bit clogged so I replaced it with a new one and now shes bubbling real good.

Can I make some diluted solution and dose the entire net pot completely?
