I have been researching this because I have severe muscle and joint pain and for that I saw blueberry, I think it all depends on just how much couch lock you want. I personally don't want any of that just some relief I been doing alot of reading on a web site where some one has compiled all the strains and what they are best for let me see if I can get it Medical Marijuana Strains Discriptions

You hit the nail on the head, Kush is my choice for aches and pains... Nebula and Romulan do it too... Pretty much any heavy indica will git 'er done. Also, if your buds contain more amber than cloudy trichomes, you will get a body-numbing effect.

I would also like to hear any experienced thoughts on this question.
I am currently prescribed a strong painkiller that I take twice a day. I have been taking these for over two years now and I am tired of them. I am tired of dealing with everything they bring with them. I would love to hear from anyone that has been able to dramatically reduce or replace their use of any opioids and the strain(s) they used to accomplish this.

I too am getting heavy duty opiates and I live in a state with MMJ and asked my Doctor about it and there is no way he will sign off on it.He would rather keep me getting more and more addicted to pills than for me to help myself. Go figure, it may be legal but the pharm companies sure have the Doc's right in their pockets. He used the story of his own 21 year old daughter got a card and now she says fuck you Dad I can smoke pot any time I want. She went to the only Doc around here who will sign and now missuses the damn thing. I don't think it's right for him to judge me with her as an example, there are at least 20 years between us and I do have a pain problem and she just was smart enough to go see the right Doctor. I guess I will go ahead and say that I am on Norco 10's and blue xanax, and methadone and morphine

MaryJane i feel your pain...I have been disabled for 2 years now just about to settle my case but i was on 10 250 vicodens and 75 mic fent patches and neurontin....I was getting epidurals 3 times a week....I really think that pot would help more than anything in the world.......Really got sick of my doc fucking up my back (now i have severe lower back pain) with huge needles...I changed docs and all they wanted to do was put me on Oxymorphone and neurontin and i was sick of my life still sucking from the opiates....I need to find out the best painkilling strain so i can help myself for once in 2 year...MaryJane i have severe RSD in my left leg, foot...I ran a 2000lb palate jack up on my foot because of faulty equipment....Hope u can find a strain that helps you...

romulan x ubc chemo is the best painkilling strain i've found the effects are v similar to opiates, gives you that wrapped in cotton wool feeling. hard to find now i kept seeds for years before federation got busted and lost they're genetics and then i went and lost mine to some thievin shit during a house party lol

thats really ruff you guys sorry to hear your pain.and as for doctors they just make up rules that suit them as they go along.i also have had bad neck and back pain for about 15 odd years suffered from a drunken night out and crashed a car into the corner of a concrete wall.and after years of going to the physio and chiorpractor and being on pain killers with not much success i went to a chinese medical man who uses pressure points and manipulation and my pain was gone for a better amount of time than anything else and a visit once a year is all i need to keep things aligned

I'm looking for something to treat pain as well as anxiety. The strains that cause couch lock might be alright for days when the pain is overwhelming but most of the time I'd like to avoid them and get something that has more of an energetic high, without paranoia.

Hey everybody, I am so sorry for all of you who have been screwed up by addictive pharmaceuticals pushed on us by our profit-driven caregivers. I used to take anti-anxiety meds and used mj to get off of that crap! I was spending $600 a month and the side effects were brutal (dizzy, unable to sleep, etc.). I also had a client I was training and she was suffering from hp srcoma (a rare strain that only a couple of hundred a year are diagnosed!). She was misdiagnosed and ended up dying a painful death 18 months after, and she was so out of it the last 3 months on the "pain meds" (we should change that name-instead it will be "profit-gain meds")that is why I started my closet mj medical grow. She passed 3 months before I harvested my crop.
Sorry, I digressed a bit! Blueberry is the strain for that powerful, euphoric "up-high". I have experienced no anxiety while smoking it. It really is a good early day smoke with a very motivating effect! protopipe1

But I like to be so high I'm useless, it helps me sleep. Something with a bit more of an up high, from my experience would maybe be Chocolope or LA Confidential although the Chocolope made me retarded.

Wow I feel for you, I just wish they would let us do our thing. My problem is that I want to do it legally since I live in a state where you can, but since the doc won't sign off on it, if I get busted I go down for a long time even tho it's just personal use. That's a huge problem because once they made it legal they also increased the time you go down if you are doing it illegally. It just fucking sucks all the way around. My pain is just from pounding around on a concrete floor for over 30 years now and I have about 20 more to work, unless I get severely crippled up and can retire early. I am trying a blueberry for the first time and people are right she is a fickle little bitch for sure, but I hope she will help me. I can't have couch lock that's what I have now from all the Pharmaceuticals so I want a nice, non anxiety get up and do something high.
