Whats Wrong ? Buds Not Getting Bigger

Hey all!

I partially harvested my plant, 3 branches were almost touching the light while others are relatively short. So I took them out, they weren't ripe enough but kind of out of options. I did the string and cloth rack thing in a dark room to dry them. Was out of town for 5 days, so when I came back I thought they would be dry and ready for curing. Where I am around it is extremely hot and humid, room humidity is between 70-90%. Unfortunately, those not finished buds did not turn out well. Smell was pretty bad, and it was full of moist. I did dry them by putting directly under sunlight, in 2 hours they were pretty much dry. Now they are in jar but the smell is not getting any better. Smoking tests was kind of a failure, I did get high a little bit. But since they were not cured, taste and smell was pretty bad. High from it was pretty short as well.

So for remaining plant, I plan to do better but seems like I am stuck. I did upload several photos, I turned the pot to get every angle. I have brown, yellow leaves and it is too bushy. For some reason there are small branches growing still, and new leaves. I did defoliate around 2-3 times since it was a seedling if that's matter. Smell is kind of OK.
I check my PH of water, I don't overwater (got a green device in the pot to measure), have some nutrients to boost as well. As you can see from the close up picture of a live bud, it is very small and have some leaves on it. Is this all normal ?

Overfed plants look like they are finished when they are only stalled

You were probably to early as those buds haven't bulked up either

Why does it appear that you recently repotted a flowering plant?

If we're guessing, not enough light.
Right after I posted this, that came to my mind. Well, for now I can't really do anything about it. Going to need more bucks to invest.

Just to clear up, plant in the picture is still alive. I only harvested about 3 small branches since they were touching the light.
I did not repot/transplant this one for a long time. It's been in this pot at least 1.5 - 2 months.

Yikes …. Over nuted ( nitro ) and in pretty sad shape .

Options ? Maybe let the sun and jesus try to help her outside.

Or IMO just scrub this launch. Buds are deformed from over nitro ( btw causes malformation) … i also would not even bother defol on an obviously stressed out / sick plant - that alone keeps hurting it.

What type of light are you using, and what nutrients? Or should I ask how much light and how much nutrients and how often do you feed? My first thought looking at your plants is to cut the nutrients and add light. then focus on how much I water. Then of course come to this forum asking for help. I would also run out and grab a couple of $3 packets of Recharge, it works wonders.

"Scrub this launch" ? What does it mean, sorry, not familiar with the terminology.

Setup is like this. It was going perfect from seedling to this, too much nutrients apparently shit. On the label of lights it says 200W, but I doubt it really.

Start over. Don't waste anymore time with that plant.
Damn, for real ? No hope ?
I have a second one ready growing up already. But that did went to flowering right after few weeks for some reason. 18/6 schedule since the beginning.

Here is the irony … those bulbs have diffusers - which softens output. Some growers remove them to allow more intensity. Not sure if those are flouro ( like cfl bulbs ) or actual led inside.

If flouro- grows can be done . Micro-cab grows .
Only each plant would need at least double if not triple the amount to get show growth.

With your current setup - if it were me , i would do ONE plant - mini scrog / flatten canopy to work with limited ceiling .

But 2 bulb will not cut it.

But if I buy a proper light, that would solve all my problems right ? At least I can save the second plant I guess. I did not know my light was that terrible.

Ok …. Well I’m gonna chime in “ my opinion “ and hoping others will add their own flavor to help you.

1. New light is a given … later when shopping , check out “ Quantum “ style lighting . Flat design , high quality diodes , white light.
Avoid blurple ( old tech / heat ) …. Quantum style boards allow more vertical clearance and some come with dimmer capabilities
to help with new seedling start ( mild power ) to full grow.

2. Maybe look into a 2x2 tent if possible …

3. Improve air circulation…. Looks like that computer fan will not cut it. Moving air thru plant helps growth and plant strength.

4. Work on your feeding / watering practices… that alone can wreck you.

Don’t get discouraged…. We all started somewhere.

Didnt notice that second plant originally , I believe that one might get saved. I would stop feed ….. water only ( as needed only )
to allow plant to slowly work thru the excess and perhaps recover ….. by doing this you will know it is salvageable because it will begin to pick up and grow …… let it do what plants do. If no progress say after 2 weeks or if it stops up taking water or just stays looking bad
…… toss it.

By no means is this way the only way …. I’m just trying to help you.

You're trying to get too much from too little! Go on the deals thread and get a cheap light. You'll find them under $50 all day long. Then use a 1 or 2 gallon pot, three at the most cause you don't have a lot of room to play with. One plant max! Consider a auto flower, they grow short and wide. As you can see in my pictures my cheap light fills the entire top of the 2x2x48 tent. The light is a sunraise qb2000, 200 watts at the wall for $90, the tent was $55 and scrog netting was $7 for 2. I found enough deals and coupons to get it all for $50 out of pocket. You have that much in your lights alone, $15-25 for bulbs, another $15-20 on sockets and wire. Plus time and effort.
