Taxing the rich is just the beginning. We might as well start the fight to address inefficiencies in our social system with infrustructure bills. Even a richey rich knows deferring maintenance for a short term profit is a long term loser. We haven't even started the real struggle, which is addressing human caused climate change. Before we can do that, we need to get rid of the filibuster and solidify control in the Senate. So, this is just the beginning. The old classist and racist system does not control a majority of the votes but they do have financial clout. With money comes power in the form of propaganda, grift, appeal to authoritarian followers (always a significant part of the population) and fear of change that most people have.
