It just isnt impressive to most people that someone grew a bunch of plants and selected out a really nice one to be grown again.
Through a bunch of hyped up marketing and a desperate desire to try and make a lot of money before the market fully saturates, folks act as if finding a great pheno is not only an incredible discovery, but something they deserve credit, praise, and lots of money for.
The truth is, people like to get high. And like anything else they wish they could get higher, or a different high, or some special high that never existed before. And to feed that never satisfied beast, an entire industry has grown up trying to "educate" everyone on what is good and what is not.
There are exceptional growers, and there are better and worse strains in each person's mind.
But what a fxxxxx joke that anyone believes they did anything more than select a nice plant and grow it over and over again. Yea. Whupdee.
On rare occasion, a strain survives its hype phase and lasts for several years. Even those fall out of favor, because the hype machine pretends there is something even more special, rare and amazing.
Really, there are some nice colors, nice flavors that have been found. But nobody, and no cut has redefined anything. It's all a mad scramble to try and get rich off the hype.
If you think about it, that amazing strain from yesterday is already old news, nobody wants it, it doesnt sell....lol. a total fxxxxx joke.
All those "owners" of the cuts are being greedy, believing they invented something. Trying so hard to keep it to themselves...they are the keeper of the pheno.
No sympathy from any stoner, anywhere, ever. These aren't doctors researching some undiscovered new compound. They are pot growers who grew an exceptional plant.
The belief that there is some protectable, patentable product is a joke of an inflated ego. Every owner of a "prized cut" deserves to have it copied and stolen...because it was never theirs in the first place.
