I'm putting up this list I made after extensive research on the subject. Feel free to chime in with any corrections, opinions, etc..


The Top 20 Strongest Smelling Strains:

These were taken from a larger list of about 40 strains that appeared in various ‘Strongest Smelling Strain’ posts on a variety of different online forums. UK Cheese had the most hype, and other strains like G-13 Labs Super Skunk, Deathstar, Sour Diesel, Shit, Shoreline, Trinity, Albert Walker, Mendo Madness, came in second, third etc. The strains have a bias leaning toward ‘Pure skunk odor’ although others on the list are featured for their general high powered and extra loud smell, like Cat Piss, Garlic Bud, Sour Diesel, and Cheese. The amount of posts for any one particular strain was a large part of the decision making process in creating this list, but also from the ‘stink’ made about particular strains and the emphasis placed on a particular variety via the grower’s personal experiences. Of course the more experience, the more their opinion was taken into account. There are likely many more than whats on this list..

Runners up include: Afgooey, AK-47, Alaskan Thunderfuck, Amnesia Haze, Armageddon Skunk, Black Domina, Chemdawg 91, God Bud, Devil, Dumpster, Holy Grail Kush, HP-13 (G-13 Hashplant), Jack Herer, Jack The Ripper, Kali Mist, Island Sweet Skunk, Las Vegas Lemon Skunk, MK Ultra, Neville’s Skunk, OG Kush (various types), Ortega, Power Plant, Puna Budder, Romulan, Renton’s Green Onion, R.K.S. (DNA GYO Collection), Sensi Star, Skunk Redhair, Space Queen, Yumbolt

* Road Kill Skunk was left off of the list as it seems likely it went by another name. From the late 1970s through the 90’s, in particular, a variety of extremely skunky weed was making its way around smoking and growing circles that old timers refer to as RKS. In all of the research I did, this strain appears likely to be one of the aforementioned, or perhaps multiple strains from the list or relatives of them.

No idea but there's not a big enough carbon filter. The list sounds like personal favorites. I've grown Jack Herer and Island Sweet Skunk. Those two are jokes as far as stinkiest strains.

I can barely trust anything like this stuff cuz i think it is all some deep meta marketing advertising ploy. Thought the guy worked for a book printing gfx company or something on that first thread of his

That list screams "UK" to me. ..amirite? :lol: lol, all good. I've been digging into this topic and have seen lots of those names too, can't disagree.

Chernobyl and Slymer belong up there, both are absolutely unable to be stealthily carried on your person.

This list is fairly complete, when you start to go back into the forum archives of thctalk, grass city, icmag, overgrow, etc you come upon these topics. These were mainly repeated strains on said topic. Do a google search and see for yourself. 'Whats the strongest smelling strain? And 'Who has the real roadkill skunk'. The RKS in particular seeems to be a running topic from 2004-2014. In fact, I see no evidence of anyone having it, or a breeder having it in the same way clone only strains like Shoreline and Albert Walker that were passed around Dead concerts, and by bikers, etc have been legitimized. They stink also and are probably the culprits, or others on the list. Its a reasonable conclusion to come to after doing all that digging. I'm obviously aware there are other strains, I dont know much about all these new hybrid strains, strawberry cake, peanutbutter gorilla, spearmint cookies, blue zkittlez, etc. This is more of an old school list in relation to people looking mainly for real skunk strains in aroma and others that have that loud ass funk.

No I'm not from the UK but a lot of the members posting in these topics likely are.

And I dont work for any gfx or printing company. I'm an author by trade and have mastered putting together legitimate quality non fiction books also, designing the covers, etc. All of the info I have compiled is absolutely because of the plant and the many places its been to, another reason the book is not for sale. I did it as a hobby project, took a couple of weeks. Im fast with book making.

You gotta add the old uk psychosis clone too that reeks like the cheese but bit different
And skunk red hair/ skunkspecial/skunk#2 call it what you want some phenos in that reek in a catpissy sorta way i seen u put it in the runner up bit just thought id mention they aint stealth in any way lol

Lists like this aren't all that helpful....how many people can actually find "authentic" versions of these strains? Take Exodus Cheese for example, tons of people claim to have a cut, and lots of breeders use it in their crosses, but the only strain I've found with that ridiculous potent cheese smell is Karma's ODB. After trying that, I realized most of the other cheese cuts were bogus. Lists like this don't help, you need a list of specific current strains by specific breeders. Sure, RKS would top the list, most definitely, but no one has it, NO ONE, there are just a bunch of lames pushing skunk#1 seeds that are slightly skunky.

Id say your Correct mate theres only two real cuts of cheese brightside which is technically pre exodus as he is the chap who gave them there first 18 or 20 odd cuttings of it and exodus cheese there own cut sure there both out there but theres so many fakes i think even alot of breeders dont get these cuts it also dont help that the cheese tends to breed recessive for cheesiness otherwise there would be plenty more great cheese seedlines available on the market already
