My point is that if you decide on personal definitions of words that are not in the professional lexicon, you disqualify yourself from educated discourse.

Are you suggesting that insisting on a correct usage of a term of professional art is authoritarian?
My point is that “methamphetamines”, which I think we can agree is what people mean when they say “meth”, is literally abbreviated in the term “MDMA”.

You also never addressed my question on whether the effects of street meth are similar/near-identical to those of mdma.

In all seriousness I think that the attitude of one being more socially acceptable than the other is what leads to the type of legislation that gives a slap-on-the-wrist to “white-collar” cocaine users while sending crack-cocaine users to prison for 20+ years.

It's funny how republicans perceive any pushback to their opinions as a restriction of speech. You guys are funny.
No, what's funny is @CatHedral says I will be kicked off the site for stating an opinion.

Seems you got the wrong person threatening "restriction of speech" simply because I don't agree with everything you say or I see on CNN.

You guys are funny.

You might not understand how freedom of speech works. If the site owners decided to give you the boot for stating an opinion, that's them exercising their freedom of speech. For you and I, we have to expectation of protected speech.

Remember when you complained about being "told" things. Yeah, that's not a thing. You complained about nothing.

You’re correct on this.

Here is a timeline of gun control.
I believe there is correlation between the Black Panthers openly displaying their weapons and passage of laws against open-carry and against felons owning weapons (just as laws that deigned certain things a felony that were disproportionately used on African-heritage Americans).
Thank you for the link. It says something other than what you claimed. 1968 is the big example.

Any college text on organic chemistry. I’ve said so. Again, you need to pay attention or at least effectively simulate it.
You didn’t say so until now, and I’d like to see a link to any college text on organic chemistry using the term “meth” to specifically describe what you say it does.
I’m okay with being wrong.

I just won't allow a person, politician, or media outlet to tell me how to think. Reporting news is one thing, but put an opinion on it, and it's just that.. opinion.

I draw my own opinion by myself and what these eyes see.

If you read my first post, personal accountability is exactly what I support.

Well, I suppose I am a bit different. To me, opinions are not equal. If a court issues Mr trump a Supeona, that's news but because I am neither a judge nor a lawyer, I want a few opinions from people who's opinions have some weight.

If there is a grand killer glacier about to snap off into the ocean, I want the opinion of scientists to, why yes, tell me what they think so maybe I will think as they do because I am not about to get a degree, AND experience and then fly out there to do my own study.

If the latest variant is sequenced in Chile, I want some...er..opinions from those who's opinions are of value to me when they pertain to the matter at hand so I can figure my exposure to a deadly pathogen.

At this point I will stop. It is clear that you are differently abled. I’m not the sort of cruel to tease the unfortunate.

I may have gotten details a little fuzzy but I do believe that the Black Panthers were perceived as a threat and gun control legislation was enacted to keep them from being able to openly carry weapons. And once that perceived threat dissipated, right-wing legislators and the NRA hopped back on promoting widespread gun availability (to caucasian Americans).

Sure thing- it is obvious from your smug and thinly-veiled name-calling that you are a true academic merely maintaining the sanctity of universal truths, though you should probably be charged with animal cruelty for getting your horse so high.

No. You snuck the plural in. It does not belong.

Should you wish to know more, I refer you to the nearest college library. Veritas vos liberabit.

New reforms target US military’s missing weapons problem

The missing weaponry includes assault rifles, machine guns, handguns, armor-piercing grenades, artillery shells, mortars, grenade launchers and plastic explosives.

Ok.

I'll tell you, they are nothing like each other in effect.

Mdma is not as long lasting, it is far less potent with dosages in the many tens of milligrams where methamphetamine is dosed in 5 to 15 mg (these are pill dosages).

There is more euphoria in the mdma, more emotional content and empathy. Meth has very little of that.

There is virtually no similarity between the two.

Dude,

You made a mistake and somebody corrected it.

This is absolutely false: "My point is that “methamphetamines”, which I think we can agree is what people mean when they say “meth”, is literally abbreviated in the term “MDMA”. " There is no way to spin it that makes it true. Yet you got angry when you were corrected.

You sound like one of Trump' aides

I disagree and am not out to change your mind. I will not post any media sources for you, if you didn't read, I am anti media.
then how do you stay informed? do birds perch on your window and tell you what they see as they're flying around? if you don't look at the news, then you have no idea whats going on in the world...yeah, i know, "you can look at the news and still not know what's going on in the world"....bullshit.
look at media that backs each other up...Reuters, AP, npr, bbc, the hill, propublica, forbes, usa today, voice of america...these are all reliable sites, every thing they say can be checked, and backed up...they may have slight slants, but for the most part they're pretty impartial, and pretty fair, and pretty factual...all operating in the dark gets you is a knot on your head when you bounce off the wall

I knew this guy. He got into meth big-time. He spoke of ingesting one-gram doses at a sitting. (He made his own under conditions that would draw the envy of Walter White. Identity, purity and quantity were assured.) I’m not sure you can do that with molly.
