Another gun thread

I have friends that ask me "Aren't you a Democrat? Why do you have a gun?" As if being a Democrat means you're not going to protect yourself. I tell them I have a gun because criminals don't care what political party you belong to. Several now own firearms themselves after thinking about it and not just going down the anti-gun path. Crime is real. I might want tougher gun laws but my safety and that of those around me is more important. I couldn't imagine not being able to defend myself in my own home. I don't carry anything in public but when I lay down to sleep I like knowing that if some punk's get inside that I'm going to be the victor.

I think your circumventing of my question and belittling comments align you closer to Trump’s mentality than I.
It’s that kind of better-than-you mentality that I’m talking about when people try to demonize other people just trying to get by on their own path.

I've been looking at nootropics again lately, based on getting that moda script. Tried out piracetam (I think that's the one) back around 2002, don't recall what it did and how I responded though. That stuffs all just sorta neat to me.


...oh yeah, guns. Just be reasonable. Got the grandkids coming over, well the one on the end table is going to do more harm than good. That's about it.

My read on nootropics has been more sales than science.

Fox will tell you bits of info and spin it right with opinion to get thier fan base fired up. Msnbc will do the same, but with a left spin.

I don't trust neither. Sorry not sorry.

I only know what media you trust as the information source (not counting academic info).
I would like to know which outlet(s) you trust to inform you.

It's interesting though...but, yeah, not trying to Alex Jones myself and nothing solid or believable. I was really into the idea of psychedelics for mental health, but ehhhhh, not gonna endorse that one either.
