Had these ThinkGrows at 45% and started to see leaf twisting/spiraling... dialed back to 40, guess they just need to be bigger before I can dial it up in veg.

We have record lows so heating is in the low optimal range of 68-72 with a much lower then optimal RH of 35%. Only a few more days and then the chill will subside.

Can you not raise the temps in the space? Crazy how cold it is. Only downside to using LED's is the lack of heat they produce. Seriously considering buying a inexpensive used 1000 watt HID just for when its cool out. Fingers crossed the temps get back to normal soon!

Getting today's update photos in before I top all these. I'll be topping taller plants down and medium sized plants just a little and smaller plants not at all, ill document that later, this will hopefully ellicit an atypical hormone distribution in the small amount of nodes and get a nice burst of even vertical growth.

Just like all the other LST I've used , it has been to create an even canopy effect from large numbers of cuts at various sizes and growth rates.

Hoping to get a decent structure by 20in tall and then I'll have 4ft of head room to fill.

In a few days when I beging to see healthy green vertical growth, I'll strip all the leaves off again. This will have a similar effect but instead of vertical burst you will see more branching out.

9.5 in X 8 in X 4in grdan slabs will be their final home.

All those smaller plants I put aside are starting to really catch up, I won't cut back these at all, so I can get a few extra cuts on clone day and keep height

So the topping, sometimes I take alot off sometimes I take just the terminal node. It all depends on the how much growth I want and in how much time.

More time means less precise topping just doubling nodes for each branch. Top 1 branch and get 2, then a week later top those and get 4... but I'm more topping to hold back growth and have a small doubling and branching effect .

Are you calling topping LST?

Absolutely...LST
Low stress training, what's your definition of low stress training? I'm manipulating the shape of the plant to elicit a response...
Topping would be considered HST along with supercropping, and schwazzing or whatever they call ripping off all your leaves.

LST would be bending the plant over to even the canopy and expose lower growth to the light.

I guess you have different terminology but I don't know anyone that would consider topping LST.

GL with the grow.

Wish these plants would slowdown, not that they are growing to fast , just running out of room to sculpt these into the Kate moss of plants...

tall skinny and nooby I mean nodey... kelp sprays will help reduce internode length and turning these lights up more but still some twisting

Really need smaller cuts from the start... but i got my own mom's ready in a few weeks...
