Careful, you CAN give plants too much light

And here as well, but sti debatable..
Whats your sources that suggest other wise

"The results also indicate that the relationship between LI and cannabis yield does not saturate within the practical limits of LI used in indoor production. Increasing LI also increased harvest index and the size and density of the apical inflorescence; both markers for increasing quality. However, there were no and minor LI treatment effects on potency of cannabinoids and terpenes, respectively. This means that growers may be able to vastly increase yields by increasing LI but maintain a relatively consistent secondary metabolite profile in their marketable products. Ultimately, the selection of the economic optimum canopy-level LI for a given commercial production system depends on many interrelated factors."

5 get it right...
Broski, the vast majority of us here on this site don't crop out 5lbs in 1 run. Lol, let alone from 1 plant. I don't even want to pull 5lbs every run, or have to fucking trim all that shit.
If you do crop out that weight, post it up woedae!

i just started a thread about this then deleted before posting o_o

what happened was i put four different plants into the flower tent and currently the humidity is 0-10%. they all recoiled, lost sheen, green and odour. the only narrow leafed plant in the garden seemed unfazed at first but then did the same (was also the only plant with mild tip burn with the same soil/nutes)

good thing there is a dimmer on my light (kingbrite 320 bar led) and it will be over a week until they recover maybe two

also, if i root a clone in a cup of water and put it in soil, if i put it under too bright light before the roots take to the soil it can shrivel and die within hours

Do you have pics of the plants with tip burn?

Huh never seen this before

"This may be especially evident given that dry inflorescence yield increased linearly with increasing canopy-level PPFD up to 1,800 μmol·m−2·s−1, while leaf-level photosynthesis saturated well-below 1,800 μmol·m−2·s−1."

Forest for the trees, ill take 10% more any day when that 10% is from 20k

it had tip burn before going into the flower tent. not major i don't think it's a bad thing, was an even off-white tanned colour. maybe being more sativa ish it is a lighter feeder and can tolerate brighter light. it is the least effected from the flower tent lights

i think it is the sudden change to bright light low humidity combo that is causing the effects

they used a strange spectrum - basically only blue n red blurple - for that.
still, an interesting read
I believe they were going to extremes to show what main componenets of CLI PAR light a plant uses to bulk...throwing some shade at diodes marketing for sure...

They went as far as acknoledge that green light wasnt apart of the experiment in terms that the metabolic process that absorb it doesnt depend photosynthesis effciency, where blue and red do

And color of light (spectrum) has more to do with the development of the plant(shape) more than the size of the plant.

I wanted to see pics, but it's all good.
it was air layered from the original plant that was started a few months ago. by comparison it is the only narrow leafed plant (critical skunk) out of four (ortega, master kush skunk, nl5 skunk). the plant is healthy and has sheen and the tip burn is not severe. the yellowing leaf is from the air layering

the flowering tent sits above this tent and all of the plants were effected by too bright light. i just flipped to 12/12 btw so will see how they go. i guess at this time of year at this low humidity i will have to only grow at the lowest light setting in the flower tent. i just hope the plants in the flower tent will get their sheen back like these
