Update: Purple Haze Super Window Grow☮️

It's officially been 10 days since my seeds were in the ground.

A bit of a rocky start and trying to figure things out about how to make the most of this window that I have.

So I have finally come to a good place.

I have semi-sealed my window off with aluminum Auto shade binders and have given my babies a more proper environment.

Behind the third eye..✨✨✨o_O

Lies, a small heater, a misting humidifier, a vornado cloth fan (zippi).

I have managed to achieve daytime temperatures between 74 and 78 and night time temperatures between 67 and 71.

With the added benefit of three digital timers that I can control from anywhere using the app and any internet connection on my phone, I'm able to adjust heat and the fan accordingly.

I also have my lights on a timer with a 10 minute shut off period during the day, to keep it cool when it's peaking hot.

This cloud intelligence app that I got with the Wi-Fi plugs on Amazon allow me to set up all kinds of automation.

The only thing that's missing now is a dehumidifier and possibly a Wi-Fi temperature and humidity sensor that would also notify me when things are out of range so that I could then use the other app to adjust either the fan or the heater.

And what's even more cool is that I now have a third eye on my window.
Or dragon's eye if you will. Or maybe a phoenix eye.

Or maybe it's the eye of sauron.
:mrgreen::blsmoke::eyesmoke:

I will post more pictures of my seedlings soon, but I'm trying to keep them in the environment without distributing too much right now.

But take a look at my final build!

If you look at the first post, you will see the images, there's some of my babies, through the eye window .☮
I noticed that them just now.. I smoked pretty heavy for a Friday night. Does that window display outside? Like the places in Amsterdam that use real ppl instead of mannequin’s? :weed:

Kinda sorta, it's steamy and I don't have many neighbors on the other side.

I'm in San Francisco too, so most people are cool with that, especially my manager.

Why are you turning the light off every 10 minutes? How warm does it get? Maybe I read that wrong, how often is the light going on and off?

Lol ..no just 10 minutes off at the moment the sunlight hits the window or it gets too hot.

I have direct sun on half the window for about 30 minutes a day. Was trying to compensate for the heat.

Otherwise the window gets just indirect light... It's really hard to tell if it's even cloudy or sunny in this alleyway behind my apartment.

You said it gets too hot, what's your definition of that? As your current conditions would be better slightly warmer. Low 80s around 82 would be good for LED.

These are seedlings and when combined with my heater and the lights the daytime temperatures get up to about 75-78°

And the night time temperatures are at about 69°-72

Purple Haze strain doesn't like to be too terribly hot as the area that it grows in is an average of 68 to 75° every day with high humidity in Columbia.

But part of its genetics are from India where the temperatures are hotter.

I don't want my marijuana plants to be too hot because the purple genetics won't show in the leaves if things are too hot

As I said the plants would grow better in the low 80s and that's not how purple genetics work. But you can do it however you want GL

It's extremely important to keep the plant cool during flowering stage.

The purple leaves and the purple flowers will be a lot more prominent if it's kept cooler.

I think 78° is a perfect temperature for now.

My seedlings are only 10 days old.

They seem to be doing good so far.

I think as my plants become more established I could consider increasing my temperatures and of course obviously I'm going to increase my par/umol between 400 and 600 , right now the umols are 220-300

I'm trying to decide when it's best to increase my light intensity.

The vegetative state is 400-600 umols/par but not quite sure they are ready to jump that high.

Was thinking of jumping from 25% to 30% brightness.

I've finally got the humidity at 60-70 %
Which is a really good thing because one of my plants and got too hot and too dry and she's a lot shorter than her sisters and I've been watching her carefully.

So I'm just trying to make sure that I don't burn my plants you see.

This is my first girl/grow and I'm learning from other people but I'm also researching and learning for myself what my plants like.

I finally got a good rhythm and a cycle going.. today in fact...

I'm definitely open to trying things. ☮
