Is ILGM good, their seeds' genetics are stable?

I don’t know who their breeder is, I don’t know where they get their genetics from. So without that info being readily available I would just order from someone that has a reliable reputation.
I’m not defending ILGM here, but I take it you don’t do much reading. The breeders name is plastered all over the place on the site. So I’m questioning how much you actually know.

I do quite a bit of reading, but I have no idea who he is and I haven’t heard anything about any cultivars that he has created. If your going to spend between $100 and $200 for a pack of seeds, then I would spend it on a well known breeder. That’s all I was trying to communicate. For that much money you can get a pack from CSI and probably double in freebies.

I am in a grow from 10 ILGM seeds (super lemon haze). They all germinated in a glass of H2O for me and 8 of them sprouted above the surface of soil and established as nice plants.
They are the 1st seeds I ever bought over the internet and they seemed to have a good rep. from what I could find.
If they are relatively pricey, I knew that up front but it was a gamble since I never bought feminized seeds before. All were female and they are outstanding plants. 5 of them anyway. The other 3 are for the next harvest. I will also use clones for the next harvest.
So far so good and I cant really say anything bad about ILGM. It was a fair deal for me and I consider the genetics to be outstanding..............however the freakin strain seems to take forever to get thru the flower stage for harvest......... I did not realize that before. It may be worth the wait

I ordered two strains from ILGM last Fall at what I considered a good price of buy 10 and get 10 free. What I liked most was that I could pay with a credit card so it was an easy ordering process. Just sprouted the seeds and put them in 5 inch peat pots yesterday to transplant out in the garden early to mid May.

North Atlantic seed company is my preferred bank. $74 shipped and tax from ethos. Then there’s get seeds right now. They have ethos unreleased. And all of the ethos strains. Some 39-50-60-100 dollars. (Don’t look at anything else tho lol 2000 dollar seeds).

however. On this website right here. Iv seen a lot of great bud from ilgm and seen a lot of controversy and controversial conversations about seeds not sprouting 100% and weed was weak and customer service was awful.

all the bs surrounding it tho. I can say. I won’t be using them. Probably ever. I have good luck or just plain consistency with NASC.
freebies are always amazing as well!!

ILGM is like buying store brand stuff. Whatever strain you are interested in, do some research on the history of the strain, who bred it, etc, and try and buy seeds from them or a legit distributer of their seeds. ILGM doesn't state where their genetics originally came from, so you'll never know if they are working with breeders' seed stock or if they are just reproductions, or white label seeds.

Most breeders with any kind of respect for other people's work will tell you where their genetics came from. No one is out here making seeds via immaculate conception lol. Crediting the people who made the seeds and strains you are working with is common practice for anyone who respects themselves or others. ILGM doesn't do that. Their business model deserves no respect IMO.

Do you have any suggestions for a good seed bank?
DC Seed Exchange has a ton of good breeders and he has amazing customer service. Breeders like Brisco's Bargain Beans, Strayfox, Magic Strains, Gnome Automatics are all some good ones I have run. His shipping times are super fast too.

If you get on speakeasy.com and go to close outs you can get 3 packs from 707 seeds for the price of one pack from ilgm. And his stuff is great

I have a handful of their strains, as I do from quite a few other places. Personally I have only had 1 seed not pop out of the 6 I’ve planted. Each pack no matter where you get it is a crap shoot. Never know what phenos you will end up with unless they are worked well.
This is their wedding cake in week 5 of flower.

I’m not disappointed. Both pics same cola.

After spending over $500 on four different strains, we started some of the seeds but had over 25% not sprout. We've been growing for years and even tried tricks from the ILGM grow Bible. Some of the seeds that did crack, produced ill looking seedlings that are not as strong as their siblings that did look normal.

The packaging is a basic bubble envelope and the seeds are in tiny plastic bags inside. That is hardly enough protection to prevent damage during shipping. I've had *flat* tomato seeds sent in better packaging! They have to know this isn't safe, so I figured returning them would be easy since they brag about their 100% germination guarantee.

That said, I spent almost 2wks of back and forth via email, trying to get ILGM to send me a shipping label, so I could give them the bad seeds, and get better seeds in return. Claire from Customer Service said she is overseas so she can't do it, and no one at their US facility in California, could help either. If this happens to you, don't believe it! When a company gives a person the ability to generate shipping labels, that same person can create a label to go to any location, it's the same program/ system.

The entire return policy is shady and made me feel uncomfortable. You're sent seeds from a distributer in your country, to mail bad seeds to an overseas address, but can't be given prepaid shipping to do so, and you can't mention what's in the package???

Claire from Customer service was unhelpful then became rude and accusatory. When I asked to speak to someone else, she never did, and I didn't get help.

I had to dispute the charges on my Credit Card in order to get any resolution. Save yourself grief and don't waste your time with ILGM.
