for those of you who measure your runoff EC hydro coco

yes and the run off reads EC .5 but inflow is EC 1.1. so yea im just getting some advice to consider and see what yall think, its hard to make a post that isnt asking for trouble and arguements because one says this the one says the other but at rhe end of the day i got to hear how people with more expirience would suggest doing things that can help me pave my way into getting a routine going. some say raise the ec but many here say 1.1 ec is what they inflow with plants half way through flowering and this is far before that phase but its good to know me suddenly trying that can be done with more confidence than just going on a whim
Why not simply give extra nute solution at the next watering to raise EC?

You could, as mentioned earlier, water in some EC 1.3 or so until you've raised the overall EC to your target value

It's easily corrected

I've been growing in coco for years. I've never once measured the EC of my runoff. Anyway, you seem set on what your doing.

Good luck with your grow.
once again it is a quick thing to measure and many do but noone has seen this personally i think its weird but aside from measuring ec ive been following most people including your suggestions which i thank u for, this was about the last i was going to post on nutrient topics unless i have new issues to show otherwise i would LOVE them to just grow happy with following the basics and im not talking about a spot or two i mean if they start really going to shit

yes i had that suggested here and was going to try it if issues persist but im open minded and i keep hearing of long time growers who dont bother with the run off and do just fine, it might be just fine but if issues arise then that will have to be my next step, when i first started out i thought it was just add more when leaves look pale green and add less if theyre burned and now i know potential reasons of burn and if thats good and their just dark green as hell then thats too much calmag and thats pretty much it, some will die out or get spots but unless ur messing something up by a long shot then things should be fine but i can try it on a seperate plant and see if that changes EC runoff as im still willing to try it out i already spent the 100$ lol only takes one dip and a sec to get a general reading

How many times a day are you watering? You might also want to increase your intervals.
once a day gets me 20% runoff sometimes the pot with more perlite needs an extra splash. so im being sure to mix less perlite for that reason so it can spend most of the day addequately

With perlite added to coco, you should be aiming for multiple daily feedings. You can get away with lower EC feedings when there are multiple daily events, but with your once per day system, you need to up your EC, but also be aware that you could get some salt burn during the drybacks.

is dryback referring to the top layer like thats how you could tell how dry the dryback was as a clue seeing the top layer dry out a little? it doesnt seem to dry much at all and the one pot with less perlite seems to be wet looking still the next day vs the other looking a little dry or a little more drier perhaps depending on few factors. i thought i was on the high end of the EC spectrum for daily one time watering. and ud think the runoff EC would help determine this but not in my case. the mfg recomendations for my nutrient line top out at 1.25EC or 1.2EC

You have not come here for advice which you would be willing to follow. You came here to demonstrate you strictly follow DrCoco, you consider it as a holly bible. You refuse to admit that it does not work despite your have issues, but when somebody tells you what your are doing wrong you just repeat that shit from the website ignoring the advices. Issues in veg? Just wait for flower to come.

I have 3 plants going in 3.5G buckets hempy style and just red my runoff lastnight because 2 are showing some weird signs of issues and the runoff was super low were as the perfect plant is ready pretty high runoff. All 3 are in same medium and getting same feeding everytime so it’s odd. I don’t read the runoff unless I see issues arising and normally they all run smooth. I read over at cannabis for coco that you want the runoff to stay within 300ppm of the input feed. Up to 300ppm higher
Are you flushing every 3rd water? I try to flush when I change up from Veg, transition, early flower. I also run some FloraKleen or whatever style you want flush. I don't do the 50ml per gallon final flush but 3 or so just to help reduce buildup. You might have something interfering with take-up. I also would upgrade to 5gal hempy and flower as early as possible. Once the plants hit bottom they blow up like crazy and can root bind easily. Our first hempy was in 3.5gal and that's what happened. We waited, topped, pruned, and then flowered and some, the buckets had nothing but roots all jammed together and they did crispy leaves, funny colors, etc.

Someone asked me once at the grow store if I measured my runoff because I was basically running DTW and that's what you do. You'd be dumb not to. But I make sure I have plenty of run off and flush with a cleaner(like FloraKleen) every change up in my nutes(you should be changing up your nutes from veg to flower gradually in any hydro system).

No I never flush. I’m running flora nova bloom start to finish so there is no real change in nutrients just amount of it. If you get enough runoff you shouldn’t need to flush. I have ran these hempy with these strains multiple times and never had an issue. I’m trying a higher feed in the 2 that are low see if it changes.

ok well if you really tracked the posts and what has changed in my garden youd see thats not true. maybe 5% of what im told here isnt followed. and thats because it heavily conflicts with everything i do know but its food for thought. i needed time for things to settle and make sense of my questions and its coming together. only thing that stands out is the runoff i posted this thread about and then how much calmag should i really use, your advice to skip calmg is not something im gonna do to my whole garden, i can change one or two plants and see how they do but its not complicated, its the calmg adding so much EC but you can lessen that and wouldnt even have to dilute the water so i see why people were confused why i was doing that. but jeez chill, you act like having my own critical thinking is such a bad thing that i just should do what im told which could be to throw the plants off a bridge with no question lol sorry that youre one of the people i left a few tips of advice out of the routine even though it was like one or two things and i said i would try it. you know these mothers will have mother plant solution which i didnt know existed so yea i took a different turn but still have several young plants i could test out, im just shooting for what ever works my man, a few plants looked like they were dying so i was just trying to keep things on track. your advice was noted in a form of a thread its meant for grow journals i felt like this was coming because i meantion dr mj coco a lot but last i checked, you didnt put together a grow bible for people to judge and bash you out for which ive seen already but still considered your advice, so yea if you dont put all that together im gonna naturally bring up dr mj coco a lot. ive seen ppl call him a poser, everyone has something to talk crap about another even you my man lol what sucks is what derermines credibility is results so il have to accept insults until my buds can speak for me.

are you never responded what you meant by continueing on like horse with blinds after looking at my drainage resivoir like something was wrong with it, what was wrong with it? you said need remove runoff right away, you know thats excactly what that set up does right? and couldnt any faster.

No shit

This should be pinned at the top
ya im getting used to talking on forum pages i tend to get the answers im looking for then further down a few go slightly off topic and i respond and chat a little about how they do things but i got my answers yall its coming back to what one said that its just a plant and to treat it like one i was just curious. i refer to these threads later on eventually and do tryout most advice or put some aside to try later, plants only grow so fast

Anyone else waiting for flower? Lmao. This is gonna be good
this is by far the longest thread if conversated on, from what i recall and had time to read through, you were suggesting temps and humidity and
Anyone else waiting for flower? Lmao. This is gonna be good
if you mean that in the sense that its going wrong, all i saw is to raise EC and good temps and humidity from your advice and some suggested to ignore runoff and keep it as is until visual signs. i have no flowering expirience and would need help if issues arise and theres tons that can go wrong. its why im here, with many plants to use for practice. if you have brief key phrases to advise for me to look into i will but i actually heard from one here saying high ec going into flower will bite me. otherwise when i work my way there il be reading tons of matirial on it.

i can take one or more aside from here to try out no calmg suppliment and another one with different NER and one for dryback tactics which i need much more info on and see how they turn out. i can try one with much lower calmg to see which seems to work best. high EC, lower EC, i can try out all these tips but i need time as they will need seperate solutions. everyones advice was heard, noted and appreciated thanks.
