Best ways to suck water from drain pan???

I was using something similar to a turkey baster that came with my nutrient package. Will a turkey baster make a difference or is their other ways to go about? They are 10 gal pots and I can’t pick them up and take out the tray and remove the water and then place it back.

You could either put them on plant risers with 17” drip pans. These are simple cheap pans - easy to flex down to “ drain “ runoff.

Watering can be with a garden watering can or whatever.

Thank you
I use a shop vac as well. It is metal and rusting. See if you can find one with a plastic tank. They are sometimes a pan in the ass to empty, I make a mess. The drip pan you have is great, I have the same thing except my drip pan is bigger than the stand inside of it. I made a major upgrade to a shelf unit.
A wire rack/shelf unit. I only use one shelf about 6-8 inches above the floor. The plants sit on the shelf and the drip pans slide in and out as needed to empty water. It sure makes it easy for me to water and clean up.

doesn't work too well, I have done some research on them the best method is to put a plate under the pot and pour water and let the soil suck it in, it's known as bottom feeding, people have issues of overwatering, I was reading some of these soils, etc, don't listen to these people, you will be confused beyond, learn your basics & get to know other growers get them to know you & vice versa, they won't do you wrong, I ran into a lot of growers, tell me they go in these forums for the humor, it's funny watching them
