For the cleanliness of the solution and roots, they advise Athena Cleanse as i see. Do you use it? Or do you add Power Si?

In flower I am running the Athena pro line with Cleanse and using Stack as a foliar. In veg I double dose with Power Si, but I do not use Cleanse in veg or clone. I use microbials in veg and clone, and Cleanse smells like a swimming pool, so I assume it isn't too compatible with microorganisms. But my veg table requires very little cleaning since switching to Athena. And the air stones and misters come out looking shiny and new after 3 weeks of veg time. So it isn't just the Cleanse keeping things clean. Either Athena is very clean, or GH Flora is very dirty.

Also, I have attempted to use Power Si in my ez cloner several times, and each time I quickly developed root rot and had to flush it all out. But I use it at double the recommended rate in my veg rez with zero issue. So I don't know wtf is up with that, as it's basically the same formula in both reservoirs, just at a much lower ec in the cloner.

As I see a lot of growers add power Si to their athena mix. And yes, as I checked athena do not recommend to mix cleanse with any organic products (btw this is hypochlorous acid, nothing new :) you can order it on ebay or chem shop much cheaper, google it. Again, an example of selling simple and old things at several times more higher price).
It is interesting question what works better - adding power Si or clean roots with Athena Cleanse/hypochlorous acid. As I work with rdwc maybe it is a good way to swap this products every 10 days when I change the solution.

Sorry again. Just want to figure out what works better in fertilizer - marketing or formula. So as not to sound totally nerdy, sooner or later I will make one run with Athena. 8-)

Athena +Coco+Runtz handwatered day 56 the plants are looking great. PS: It’s my first time ever trying coco And I’m impressed with the results. I did have some nute burn I’m gonna dial it in next run. Loving Athena!

I did 3 EC until day 37 but I had a lot of salt built up by then, probably not enough run off so I flushed it down and they bounced back hard. I did just 2 EC from there until like week 8 and started flushing

Kelp just makes me get weird buds in my experience using Real Growers Recharge, CYCO Ryzofuel and Europonic Nitrozime at recommended rates.

I personally avoid anything with Kelp because it's packed with Auxins, Gibberellins & Hormones that will affect your plants natural attributes potentially negatively or positively, in my case it has been a negative experience every time.

Hows your quality though. I smoked some Athena weed the other day and its what lead me to this thread. Shit was kinda bland and tasted like when I grew with Heavy 16. Don't get me wrong the buds were dank LOOKING and the plants in the grow were beautiful. Just quality, burn and taste wasn't there.. I've noticed this with all weed that is grown using shit like Mega Crop Jacks etc..

The problem with nutrient industry is so mystic with so many false claims and different formulations, source materials and more.. I only grow using pharmaceutical grade inputs, most of those ag salts are literally Agricultural Grade hence the "ag" and will contain other chemicals and things like heavy metal. Yeah it might pass testing for metals but you are still getting more metal than a more premium nutrient line in your weed and smoking it.

Damn, well I will find out soon how it smokes. Like you said, the buds do look amazing, frosty, purp, strong smell. So I hope it smokes good lol

just a heads up for anyone wanting to try Athena,they are sending up a shitload of “samples” to anyone who asks

everyone in the discord community is getting a bunch of free nutes so I thought I’d let you guys know so you can get in on it too

you can get the pro or blended line,just tell them which one

all you gotta do is message them on IG and ask for samples

I asked for the blended line and got mines the other day and it was 18 boxes.Four 1gal bottles in each box

So I got 8 1gal bottles of everything from their Blended line except for Stack.I got 8 1quart bottles of those

all for free :bigjoint:
