Katsu seeds

Started a Rain Dance Dec 19 and I have never had such a pussy plant before. Started 3 seeds, 2 failed to germ, (no issue with the other 6 seeds, Mephisto & Mosca, that I started). It grows so weakly and is very sensitive to watering. Looks like shit compared to everything else I have going...hell my solo cup grow is better than this piece of shit katsu plant. If it turns out to be a male I am gonna be pissed lol I will torture this piece of shit to death.
Damn that's crazy, same thing happened to my buddy. I sent him the Rain Dance Katsu sent me as a freebie. He calls it "Slow Dance" Said he's never seen a plant so slow. I wanna say it was around 6 weeks for the plant to hit its 2nd or 3rd node.

That is "slow dance" (fucking funny right there haha) up front. Transplanted into the plastic gal pot at the same time the others went into fabric and with the same soil. It is, however, a week older than the other three in there. I put an additional 28 holes in that pot with a hot screwdriver prior to using it. It has grown slowly from day one but looked good until a week after the transplant when it just flopped over, that's why it has such a bend to it. After a week of propping it up, it started to show signs of overwatering. Which was odd because of all the holes, airflow in the tent and I would only water 1cup(8oz) at a time. Now after a few weeks the new growth seems to be improving so I chopped off most of the old leaves that were withering and yellowed last night and that's how it is today. I water it once a week and the others need watered about every 3 days.

There is slow and then their problems, It looks to have root issues and or its just a dud. Some plants just don't thrive and don't send out roots, I had a plant just like yours many years ago called Red Devil been nursing it for weeks and decided to take it outside, I come around the corner with a bit of a wind and wooosh blew it right out of the pot lol, had a root ball about the size of an egg, was just a dud the other 10 were excellent.

His pre98 fems grew great for me but I am 0 /2 for getting his Black Lime Bubba to germinate. I have one left so I'm still hopeful. I'm definitely not saying its the seeds fault. It probably was just something I did. But I am going to be extra on point when I plant the last one. I really want to try that strain. I love his pre 98 Bubba. Mucho bueno.

Shromba round two update, producing some nice frosty chunks despite hating being stuck in a 3 gallon pot this time. Smell is mouth watering almost, sweet, limes and fresh mint is what it says to me. Also hit a lower branch with some Cartwheels pollen from Sin City.

Just got his sour d x stone sour d delivered as im a sour fan. Nice he threw in 2 packs of fems for me to try in addition. Happy customer here plus he had good communication and thats more than I can say about some breeders.
Anyone know more about the stone sour d? Guess it's a Rez 2008 ibl male but I haven't heard about it til this drop.

Is that the new Katsu Sour D IBL that your talking about?

From the website description and his Discord I can't really tell if stoneys sour d male is the same male thay rez had or if it is another male he hunted from the original red seed stock.
From the website: the East Coast Sour Diesel original clone crossed to Stoney’s Sour Diesel Male. This male has been closely held since 2008 and has proven itself many times to be one of the best, if not THE best, Sour Diesel male currently being used for breeding.

Nice looking plants everyone. Long time since I dropped in here. I will be cloning a Katsu, Romulan x Gary Payton today. I learned my lesson a long time ago you need to clone every Katsu seed you grow. Never know which one is going to be excellent. I just finished a Alani Island reversal Katsu put out. That Alani island plant is a good as any of my plants. Including Mac1 and G.G. #4. They all have their place. Alani Island is the best orange strain I have every smoked. The mix of gas and orange is amazing. I just crossed that plant to Cap Junky, Durban Thai x Jack Herer, Chocolate Marshmellow, and Poly (Apple Fritter x G.G. #4). Poly is one of my own hybrids and reeks of fruit.
